Sorry to hear about your delay...at least you know it won't be too long now.....not sure about the security check being done so soon?? I thought cases were just boxed and stacked on shelves until an officer pulled them....then did the security check?? Who knows how they work.....well, it seems some of them do

Yea who knows. I just hope it is something as little as needing a photocopy of something or forgot a box on the g325a or actual petition form instead of having to dig up more proof of the relationship cause I was racking my brain about what else to send that was more official then actual boarding passes and a dated souvenir photo taken by the south carolina aquarium etc... only cause I read that phone records and bank statements were more like secondary pieces of evidence because they could be easily doctored. I wish I could send in copies of my passport, but canadians dont need a passport to enter the us, which is kinda good and kinda bad i guess, im sure homeland security or the buffalo poe keeps track tho...Anyways I am not too upset about the RFE, actually im kinda glad that at least I know they havent forgotten about me. As for the large number of September RFEs i guess its not a bad thing, it just means they are being really thorough and trying to make sure every case is genuine.... i was trying to figure out when the rfe should arrive and remembered that unlike canada, the postal service works on saturday so that is one day closer... Im really curious tho what the RFE actually is about.... I wish they would say in the e-mail they sent.

eeeeek i got an RFE- request for more initial evidence, We havent recieved anything in the mail yet....

I am not sure what else I can send, I already sent in:

Original Boarding passes from 2 trips

2 colour photos of us together

And a letter explaining how we met.

Any ideas what else to send?

I'm sorry to hear that

Initial evidence is something that required initially like birth certificate, divorce certificate .........

Additional evidence is something further than what was originally sent like more proof of having met,like Emails ,pictures......

hang in there at least you know that someone is working on your case and its not collecting dust .

I called NVC and they told me that my case is at USA embassy in Cairo and they are going to send me packet 3 and they did 3 days later

Great, I called NVC and they told me package was sent out on 10Feb, by the tracking number, package had been delivered in Moscow, but DOS does not show the update info yet. question: if NVC says they have no way of tracking the package, how do they know when it reaches consulate?

Great, I called NVC and they told me package was sent out on 10Feb, by the tracking number, package had been delivered in Moscow, but DOS does not show the update info yet. question: if NVC says they have no way of tracking the package, how do they know when it reaches consulate?

I think the NVC send something like Email or something like that to the Embassy

cause when i first called them they told me that the embassy have my electron case not the papers yet .

it took about 4 days to reach the embassy in Cairo.

no i didn't get interview date yet cause i didn't send the packet 3 back to the embassy .

I'm still working on it .

Hey, Amber! Sorry to hear this: seems like a lot of Sep filerers got slamed w/RFEs..sorry.

We sent out everything we possibly could. Skype, VZO (history), 12 pictures together, our divorce certs notarized, screen shots, intensity of emails, fone bills, few printed romantic letters, train tickets, hotel bills, boarding passes, my 3 visa stamps in passport, etc./

And still we were shaking after noticing Sep RFE in this trade.

Nadya, hang on!!! Must be security checks clearance. It's always a delay with kids.

yes, it could be.. and I am glad that yours were sent to Moscow pretty soon you will get it and start working on Packet 3

I feel sooo ignorant:( sorry.

don't worry..time is close and that's why you are getting nervous as for Ukraine and our packet 3, I have already dowloaded it from my Embassy site . And following to their instractions. That's all.. what you have to do right now, it's to gather all your info about fincial supporting.. Affidavit of supporting, forms and etc. and that what you gathered for USCIS. Just update your case again. Maybe here you will find more info!

Well, actually I am little fricking out:) We are usually 3 steps ahead of any game with plans B,C and D around the road.

All the financial things and applications already done, everything is done except for medical - I'll be bringing him all necessary docs to Russia in 3 weeks. Is that what's called package 4?

1) we have case number already - it was given to us when NVC sent out the papers

2) police report long done - it took us since August to actually get in Dec Stupid small towns - they are so disorganized

Packet 3 is yellow envelope?

We were under impression, it already arrives with the scheduled date...?

bureaucracy is everywhere, not only in Russia;) I guess yellow parcel is Packet 3. According my embassy site, they advise to call for interview date and don't wait for invitation. Just make a calling to their call center and they will give more info.

So, we were right:

Once scheduled, the beneficiary is provided via mail with an invitation letter and information sheet outlining the steps to be taken.
