I think we may get an RFE, every time I log on I see more things I shouldn't have done from looking at other peoples posts :(

I was on here every day to begin with but to be honest I know its going to be at least Christmas/New Year before they do anything, and coming back everyday just makes the waiting and seperation worse.

Shanira, did you every get your NOA1??

Kristen - Dont worry about the RFE part. In fact, sometimes I feel that getting an RFE and answering those to the adjucator's satisfaction will get your NOA2 soon. At least you know someone has touched your case and that it has not been lost. The trick is - if you know what you might get an RFE about - to keep it ready and mail it as soon as you get your RFE. That will save you some time....Good luck to all of us. I am a Sept filer too...waiting in line...Keep in touch !!

9/19/2008 - Mailed I-129F by USPS Priority

9/22 - Mail reached USCIS - CSC

9/23 - Check Cashed

9/23 - NOA1 Notice Date (now wait and pray that NOA2 should come soon!!)

9/27 - NOA1 received by mail

9/29 - Touched (probably to correct typos)

9/30 - Touched

1/14/2009 - NOA2 approved

1/20 - NOA2 hard copy received

1/22 - NVC received petition

1/26 - NVC sent petition to Embassy

1/29 - Received NVC Hard copy

1/30 - Embassy received petition

2/3 - Received P3 from Embassy

2/3 - P3 sent by Courier from India

2/10 - Confirmed that P3 is in embassy's system (called embassy, DOS)

2/23 - Called DOS - Got interview date verbally

3/9 - Medicals Completed

3/31 - Interview Successful

4/3 - Received Visa

4/20 - Arrival

Thanks to you all! I feel a bit better now. I know coming to this site is a ritual of mine. This and the USCIS site. I couldnt get any info from my check number so I have no idea if ive been touched :(. I wish everyone as speedy a process as possible! Best of luck!

Nothing new here. :reading:

I did see a link on the October filers thread that shows the current timelines USCIS is shooting for in processing applications. I had been thinking it would be about 3 months from the NOA1 until they got around to looking at the application and sent an NOA2 or RFE, but it looks like it may be more like 5 months.

JUN07 - Went on vacation to Ipatinga, Brasil with my Brother and his wife Lena. Met Lena's sister Cristiane.

SEP07 - Wrote 1st letter

JAN08 - 2nd trip to Ipatinga

30JUL08 - 425 emails later proposal accepted

23SEP08 - I-129f sent

29SEP08 - I-129f received by VSC

01OCT08 - NOA1

03OCT08 - NOA1 mailed from VSC

03OCT08 - Check clears the bank. Join Visa Jouney (not lurker any more)

05OCT08 - Updated = "touched" by VSC

06OCT08 - NOA1 arrived in the mail

23JAN09 - 3rd trip to Ipatinga

11MAR09 - Updated = "touched" by VSC

11MAR09 - NOA2 - To NVC & Beyond!!!!

13MAR09 - Cris quit her job in Ipatinga. Hope NVC and the Consulate in Rio are quick workers.

16MAR09 - Hard copy of NOA2 arrived in the mail.

27MAR09 - Consulate in Rio sets interview date.

06APR09 - Copy of visa interview letter arrives in Houston. No sign of letter or packet 4 in Ipatinga

21MAY09 - Visa interview in Rio - Visa Approved

27MAY09 - Cris got her passport with the Visa back

06JUN09 - 4th trip to Ipatinga

20JUN09 - Returned to Houston. This time Cris was with me.

TBD - Wedding in San Antonio area.

I have been looking into approvals at VSC, and it seems to be that July is rolling and some from August too. I think ours will start to be approved sometime in January.

02-01-2007 - Met Dina on the Internet in mylatinsoulmate

04-20-2007 - 1st trip to Fortaleza, Brazil to meet Dina

08-30-2007 - We meet together in Peru and visit Machu Picchu for her birthday. Got Engaged

11-16-2007 - 2nd trip to Fortaleza, Brazil

04-27-1008 - 3rd trip to Fortaleza, Brazil

08-28-2008 - 4th trip to Fortaleza, Brazil

09-16-2008 - Became a U.S. Citizen

09-17-2008 - mailed I-129F

09-18-2008 - Arrived at VSC

09-19-2008 - NOA1

09-22-2008 - Check cleared, touched

09-23-2008 - touched

09-24-2008 - touched again!

I was wondering the same thing. This September VSC group is a quiet bunch. I do see early Aug folks rolling at VSC, so we all should be next. Hopefully, by year end/early Jan they will get us all Sep filers. Keeping my fingers crossed and wishing us all good luck in our journey.

9/12/2008 – Received at VSC/NOA 1 sent (mail stamp-9/16)

9/15/2008 – check cashed

9/19/2008 –Received NOA1

12/28/2008 – Received NOA2 Approval email from CRIS

01/06/2009 – Left NVC for Mumbai Consulate

01/07/2009 – Received NVC confirmation letter in the mail

01/08/2009 – Mumbai Consulate received file electronically and sent packet 3 (info from DOS)

01/10/2009 – Mumbai Consulate received file (hard copy) from NVC (DHL tracking)

01/19/2009 – Overnighted packet 3 (still did not receive receive pkt 3 from Mumbai)

01/20/2009 – Packet 3 arrives at Mumbai Consulate

01/23/2009 – called DOS and was informed that packet 4 has been sent and interview date set.

01/24/2009 – Received hard copy of packet 3 (postmark Jan 20). Too late. Already sent packet 3 on Jan 19.

Do you guy's know if it matters if some of us filled sooner in the month of September then others? I filled in the beginning of September but I kind of feel like a couple of days doesnt make much of a difference. Do you think that they go in order or they just pick out of the pile of September filers?
