McCain and Palin want us to leave their families alone. Yet they want to make rules for our families by eliminating our right to make our own choices over abortion, eliminate our access to family planning education or domestic partner benefits, and our freedom from discrimination.

They want to control what our kids learn in school about sex and about science. In short, through the policies they promote and the judges they support, they want the government to have more control over our private lives than at any time in history

The left says little to no choice in schools, social security, medical insurance, polygamy (prudes), hiring/firing/promoting (gender and race based lawsuits), household spending (more taxes), energy sources . . . but hey aborting unwanted kids is more important than anything else.

Clearly you have an excellent handle on the left's position on all these areas. Can I assume by 'left' we are talking Dem party policy?

Refusing to use the spellchick!

I have put you on ignore. No really, I have, but you are still ruining my enjoyment of this site. .

Obama will be a radical on the abortion issue as signaled by his blocking of emergency medical aid for babies who survive abortion;

Wait....what? Why would they....I.....I'm so confused D= Are there actually cases of babies surviving abortion? And aren't abortions illegal at stages where the fetus would even have a chance of survival?

That would be for dingbats that think a fetus is viable pre-2nd trimester.

November 5th can't get here soon enough

Right. Gotta get fresh meat for the comedians.

Don't expect logic from that side. They'd probably try to charge someone who killed theirself with attempted suicide, because taking one's own life is a sin!

There are nuts on both sides. On the far right, you have abortion rights activists, far right religious groups, etc. On the left, you've got people like those getting arrested and pepper-sprayed at the RNC, radical animal rights activists and environmentalists, etc. You could make the "don't expect logic from that side" argument against either side if all you wanted to do was talk about the far right or the far left. Both are pretty out of touch with reality, in my humble opinion.

Plenty of right wing lunatics in PETA.

maybe you just don't have a clue about how far to the right i am ;)

Going on fascist? I hope not brother Charles! :o

Wishing you ten-fold that which you wish upon all others.

Yeah... the left:

schools: get educated. learn something.

social security: have money to live well enough past retirement without having to choose between eating and paying the rent.

medical insurance: be able to afford going to the doctor AND paying for medication. with all doses accounted for.

polygamy: silly us. be in love with one person and be happy.

hiring/firing/promoting: yeah, make it on merit, hard work, instead of nepotism and what you believe in.

household spending: the rich can continue buying extra houses and pay pennies more per hundreds in earnings while the not so rich can breathe a little easier and get tax relief.

energy sources: actually invest in alternatives to expensive petroleum run by friends of the right wing.

abortion: what was that? a smarter population doesn't need that many abortions as before? oh...

Wishing you ten-fold that which you wish upon all others.

 I can't believe how silly that rationale is.

But isn't it always the way though - rather than own up to our own mistakes, that too many people were hoodwinked by the campaign marketers to vote for someone woefully underqualified for the position and who's ruinous policies have had a catastrophic effect on this country in a number of ways - we'd rather trust the marketers again and in a shocking act of collective amnesia shift all the blame onto the other party for the failings of the current one. As bold-face lies go - its a good one, given that the Democrat party weren't in power and didn't hold a congressional majority until about 2 years ago. Really priceless...

Shifting the blame is the first sign of self-delusion at work - and textbook propaganda.

Peace to All creatures great and small............................................

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

Phew! Although if isolation is all you want I am sure we can make Reservations for Isolationists.

And keep you all far away from the rest of us that value a more open, educated, and healthy society. Of course, you guys can visit us as much as you want. And continue on Internet message boards. Heck, you can have the autonomy you desire.

I love the countryside as well. I hate noise and I live in a major city. Go figure. Sometimes I put my noise-canceling earphones on to do just that.

Politics. Imagine the dealing:

"I'll ante up with a Black Guy who sounds like a Real American!"

"I'll see your Black Guy who sounds like a Real American with my White Guy who's a War Hero!"

"Hmm. I'll see your White Guy who's a War Hero with my Black Guy who sounds like a Real American and a White Guy who Seems Brainy!"

"Yeah! I'll see your Black Guy and the Brainbox with my White Guy who's a War Hero and a Tough Lady with a Rifle and Furs!"

Uh oh. Mistake. Should have upped the ante with a "White Guy who's a War Hero and a One-Legged Mexican Midget Lady who's a Messianic Jew with One Eye Missing!"

Let me remind you that NObama transcends race.

And what does McCain transcend ?
