Speaking of far right...I made that last post about anti-abortion activists and the religious right before I looked at the test. I didn't finish the test because abortion is an issue that I have separate ideas as to what I would want to do (I love kids and would want to keep the baby) and to what women should have to or not have to do (don't think the government should force a woman to keep a baby she doesn't want). I think abortion is something that will be argued until the end of time. It's an issue I'd prefer to avoid like the plague, but if someone held a gun to my head and told me to vote either way, I'd have to go with the left on this one.

Wait....what? Why would they....I.....I'm so confused D= Are there actually cases of babies surviving abortion? And aren't abortions illegal at stages where the fetus would even have a chance of survival?

Don't expect logic from that side. They'd probably try to charge someone who killed theirself with attempted suicide, because taking one's own life is a sin!

There are nuts on both sides. On the far right, you have abortion rights activists, far right religious groups, etc. On the left, you've got people like those getting arrested and pepper-sprayed at the RNC, radical animal rights activists and environmentalists, etc. You could make the "don't expect logic from that side" argument against either side if all you wanted to do was talk about the far right or the far left. Both are pretty out of touch with reality, in my humble opinion.

Maybe they do need to be elected to actually see where non-radical politicians are, instead of thinking these neo-conservatives are moderate when they're not, and guys like Kerry and Obama are far left when they're not.

Yeah that's a weird one to me - Talk Radio has made a big deal about making Obama into a Communist/socialist/liberal (terms that are used interchangeably). I'm not seeing it personally - but given that Clinton (who is now being hailed by the Reps as some sort of moderate) was slapped with accusations of communism by them for a few out of context quotes.

The references to right and left are based on the U.S. political spectrum. Obama is the furthest left and Biden is third. McCain wasn't ranked because he missed too many votes running to be president. Palin isn't a senator so no rating.

How many anarchists or ultra leftists are elected? Showing me elected politicians doesn't help your argument when these people aren't even getting elected. Thanks to the liberal scare conservatives have put into the country, actual leftists don't stand a chance as they are labeled commie or pinko.
