Funny joke, but in reality, you would be under arrest by the 1st response.....

In reality, anytime you do not have freedom to move on your own accord (as in a traffic stop) you're already under arrest.

You just may not have been charged, handcuffed, read your rights, or taken into custody, but technically a traffic stop is an arrest.

That is incorrect. A traffic stop is a "detention", not an actual arrest in the formal or legal sense.

Well, it would be nice when you see a cop on the interstate, hey, he is there to protect me. But you know that ####### is there to try and hang something on you, that is the sad part.

Our town like so many others, had our police department doubled with Homeland Security, all they have to do is to issue traffic tickets. So many as a matter of fact, had to elect another judge to handle them. But not like many small towns that depend on fines for school taxes, property taxes still keep on going up.

The law is like a pane of glass, when broken it's broke, and driving 21 in a 20 mph zone breaks that glass. Ha, just the other day was driving 34 in a 35, woman behind me gets impatient and passes me only to be stopped. Knew their was a cop hiding behind the bushes, he is always there in an undercover car. Just smiled and waved when I drove past her.

We are a country of laws.
