When Do I Get Stop Being a F1 Student?

When can I stop being a F1 student? UW is so expensive ($8000/qtr), I run out of money now.

As soon as you file AOS, you do not have to satisfy to your requirements of your F-1 status. You are considered AOS pending. Just double check with your International Office first though.

However, if your concern is financial and would like to pay resident fees, you might ask UW but I am pretty sure they required to have the green card.

By the way, I hear you on the expensive part. I considered UW till I saw I much the tuitions were for out of state residents.

You just need ead to change and proof that you lived there for a year to get in state tuition!

I shoulda asked this question month ago. Looks like I have to defer admission to the program for a year cause it is too expensive.
