Hello,

I just got married and my situation is slightly complicated. i dont have a lawyer yet, but maybe you can help to answer some questions.

i came to us 10 years ago and received my ss and drivers license, but i had been back and forth between my country and US for all these years and reajusted my status everytime i went back. the last time i came to US on the visitors visa, i did an extension for 6 month and than overstayed for 1 year after experation of the visa.

i had been working all this time with my ss even though i didnt had a permit and also filed taxes.(companies didnt really looked into that)

the question is: should i mention on my application for the green card that i had been working and do i write my ss and all the work history in US?

Thank you

R

unauthorized work and an 1 year overstay, you did it good!!!! ... DO NOT LEAVE THE COUNTRY until you have greencard in hand...

as a practical matter, both "sins" can be and typically are forgiven as a courtesy extended by the USCIS to your now USC spouse....

Don't hide your SSN and work history from USCIS. That would be treated as a crime. You'll be forgiven, I'm sure.
