Hi all, I am a UK citizen over here in the US with my wife adjusting status from the VWP. Today we received 3 NOA's... one for the I-130... one for the I-485... and one for the I-765. The I-485 and I-765 say the next step is to have my biometrics taken, and all show receipts for money received and cashed.

What do i do now, and is this good news? Could there have been an outright rejection?! I want to deliver my wife the news, but dont know if this means nothing or it means something good!?

05/29/2008 --- Entry into the US on Visa Waiver to visit my girlfriend for a summer holiday and to help take care of her sick father where needed.

06/20/2008 -- After the sad passing of my girlfriend's father, we decided to get married and stay together

08/08/2008 --- We get married, lovely ceremony and dinner with all of Sarah's family present :-)

08/25/2008 --- AOS package sent to Chicago via Fedex overnight priority mail. Fingers crossed now!

08/26/2008 -- AOS Package received in Chicago, signed for by A.Smith (1 day before my VWP expires!)

09/02/2008 -- Checks cashed!!

09/03/2008 -- NOA1 received for I-485, I-130 and I-765.

09/05/2008 -- Case is shown online as pending!!

09/08/2008 -- Biometrics appointment letter received for September 23rd!! (For both I-485 and I-765)

09/12/2008 -- Biometrics walk-in completed, 11 days before the appointment! In Hackensack NJ.

09/20/2008 -- RFE for I-485 received. It was dated September 17.

09/25/2008 -- RFE response evidence sent out to Lee's Summit by USPS, certified mail.

10/02/2008 -- RFE response evidence received and case processing resumed!

11/04/2008 -- EAD CARD PRODUCTION ORDERED! Thank you Lord.

11/10/2008 -- EAD card received in the mail! wOOt wOOt!!!!

11/12/2008 -- SSN ordered from Hackensack, 2-4 weeks in mail!

11/28/2008 -- SSN Received in the mail, wOOt!!!!!!!!

12/7/2008 -- INTERVIEW LETTER RECEIVED!!! It's scheduled February 19, 2009 at 8:30am in Newark. *nerves*

2/19/2009 -- Interview 8:30am - Green Card verbally approved

2/23/2009 -- Welcome letter received! followed by I-130 approval notice!

Congrats on your recent wedding. Congrats on your NOA's as well.

After you have your biometrics done, you will receive an interview letter for the AOS.

Feb. 22/06... AOS Interview - APPROVED!!!!! (Passport NOT stamped)

Dec. 4/07... I-751 sent to NSC

May 23/08... 10-Yr. PR Card arrives in the mail

Mar. 22/11.... N-400 sent to AZ

June 27/11..... Interview - PASSED!!!

July 12/11..... Oath Ceremony

It means they have receipted your cases.... You are in the system... You now wait for biometrics appointment letter

Also, i didn't send in my I-693 medical with my I-485. I still have it here and haven't been asked for an RFE, is this normal?

receipting your case is just that... nobody has really looked at your applications at all... if an RFE is forthcoming, it won't be for many weeks...

biometrics appointment can be scheduled anywhere from 2 - 6 weeks... depending on how busy your ASC is

If you didn't send it, they'll send you a RFE very soon. Requesting the I-693.

There is no actual average of time. Generally from what I have seen here in VJ its between 4 to 10 days. I for example waited 11 days.

**BUMP** Anybody please?

It took three weeks in January before my wife got her notice of biometrics appointment, which was exactly one month after this notice arrived. Then it took 2-3 weeks to get her EAD. The green card was approved August 27....about six and a half months after they got our papers. Yours might be delayed a bit while they ask for your medical records to add to the file.
