There is an area set aside by the Northwest Airlines ticketing area to pay the travel tax.

The 750 pesos is paid at NAIA after check in and before customs and is a departure tax.

BTW, $35 for dinner. Must be nice to be rich! My average meal is less then $6.00.

Was it the same tax PhP750? Last year it was just Php750. Oh I think it's called terminal fee anyway.

Yeah because some travel agencies quote the prices without the travel tax/terminal fee yet, you can double check in the iterinary itself. The second time I booked for my ticket, I requested to include travel tax/terminal fee all ready but then travel agency told me to just pay it at NAIA.

The first time…

It's really a big hustle for me; I have no cash that time. I only have ATM debit card and credit cards but unfortunately they won't accept cards. SO I have to go back and literally run. Misfortune continued because that ATM terminal at NAIA is either Bancnet/Megalink or if it has one which is PNB with Mastercard seal…well it wasOFFLINE. I have to ride a cab again to bring me to the nearest ATM terminal. Jeez... it took me another 45 minutes that it was 15 minutes before my flight all ready…glad I had check in all ready but then I haven’t done with Phil. Immigration and other stuffs yet.

Depende kong saan mo binili ang ticket mo, it does not matter kung paper or e-ticket. You just need to verify if the philippines tax is included on the computation.

Here's my actual experience:

I visited my fiancee in the US before. he sent me a paper ticket... I had to pay 1620 philippines tax in the airport.

I visited Singapore and i bought my ticket direct from Singapore Airlines webpage. I had e-ticket. Again, I had to pay the 1620. The online price does not include the philippines tax

I do business travel (part nang trabaho ko), i dont need to pay 1620 coz our company travel agency already included the philippines tax sa price nang ticket. No need to pay in the airport.

I visited Saipan before for a vacation, i bought my ticket from one of travel agent in Pasay, their rate already included Philippines tax. No need to pay in the airport.

according to others they will not collect me a travel tax as long as i have my e-ticket. when i check-in my luggages they ask me that i need to pay travel tax. i told them that it was already paid by my fiance. but they tell me that it was in the US tax not PI tax. so i decided to pay the travel tax PHP1,260 i was lucky because i still have the peso bills enough to pay for the travel tax and the terminal fee. anyone experienced this? thank you...

If your ticket was booked online or outside the Philippines, then you have to pay the travel tax but if it was booked here either travel agency or the airline itself you don't have to pay..

That's the law here in PI..
