Interviews for future months are usually made before the 20th day of the current month.

If there isn't a huge backlog in SD, you should get an October interview.

Some Embassies, like London, have a 2 month backlog.

Your SO has to receive the packet and return the forms to the consulate, then your SO will receive the information for the appointment. Please read the guides, they are very useful.

Have you looked at timelines of others who have transited DR? DR is notoriously slow to interview, at least in the past. I have heard some experienced up to 18 months from consulate receipt to interview.... A quick glance at the VJ stats indicaates 407 days.

YMMV

Aponciano did not file for k1 visa so they don't have to return the documents because they do that at the NVC stage for IR1/CR1 cases.

You might want to call them by Thursday or so. Good luck.

It took longer before but since last year the NVC is scheduling the interview instead of the consulate

so is much quicker. Does anybody know when is the deadline or cutoff date.

Where did you get that information from? Is that information based on the IR1/CR1?

If it is then, there is no back log in London. Case complete 29th August, interview assigned the 3rd September, interview date the 29th September.

So if your case left on the 22nd it means you have an interview scheduled, give them a call.
