EAD and AP docs received!

Hi all,

We finally got our AP document (after we took the vacation on which we wanted to leave the country, but oh well), and more importantly our EAD! What a relief.

One thing about the USCIS system that you guys should watch out for: I was not notified via email before the documents were received nor were my case statuses updated online when they were being processed recently. So things might be moving along for your cases even if you've received no email/online updates.

Good luck to you all!

Did you receive a receipt number when you filed for the AP?

We filed for AOS, EAD, and AP all at the same time. I got a receipt number for the EAD and AOS, but not the AP. Is the AP receipt number the same as the EAD? We haven't received any updates on any of the documents since the biometrics appt on June 13th.

What gives? Did they lose my AP application?

Hi,

Yes, we definitely had different receipt numbers for each of the three applications. Do you have the email notification thing set up on the USCIS website? If you've gone past 90 days since they received applications and you haven't gotten any RFE's to indicate a hold-up, you should probably contact them to see what's going on. Our biometrics appt was in early June but we got an RFE which held up the AP and EAD docs for a little over a month.

Good luck
