Sorry about the draw back...but u'll be fine. VJers can we now say fiance's need to go to the interviews??? haven't seen this happen to a CR1/IR1 filer yet

I'm not ready to state that with any conviction yet cause every case is different and unless I see ALL the details of the denial, I am not prepared to state that. I think the time is coming though.

yea...look at statistics..how many didn't go with SO since Finesse and how many got a blue slip to come back with fiance...compare that to CR1

I am very worried that the interview will be scheduled in December, which will be in the last four weeks of my pregnancy, and I wont be able to fly. Do you guys think I should get a letter from my doctor if this is the case? I don't want to take any chances.

I am very sorry about the blue slip BTW. I can only imagine your frustration!

It sounds to me like maybe he got confused with the paperwork and they need some clarification.

The financials concern me most. Did you meet above the poverty level required on the last couple year's of tax returns?

I got an actual copy of the blue slip today. It said to only bring more proof of relationship. Phone records, pictures, letters, western union/money gram receipts, emails/letters, proof of travel etc... I had lots of that in the binder, so I think he was confused as to what they wanted. So, it's a good thing that I will be with him for the next interview! I'm just glad they didn't ask for anymore financials, because I don't have anyone to co-sign. I looked online and I'm above the proverty leval even though it doesn't feel like it.

I agree...get the letter from your doc and maybe write a letter yourself saying something to the effect of "I wanted to be there at the interview to support my fiance but I am unable to travel" blah blah blah...basically make them feel like you would be there if you could.
