how long do they review the documents?

I called the usem and they told me that they are now reviewing my documents at this point in time ! july 3 is my wife interviewed and they gave her a pink slip and said wait for the visa 2 to 3 weeks, its already sept 3, they dont even have a clear answer on what happen, is this depending on the CO who will give visa?.I am just waisting money calling the 1 888 number or is it worth trying?.My wife is in the philippines and she needs someone whom she can talk to regarding this matter or maybe give her some tips on how to get this things done.

Not much she can do but wait. Normally doesn't do much good for the beneficiary to call.

USC seems to get info sometimes tho. Keep calling and bugging them. If it goes on to long get your senator involved.

Pretty normal now for AR to last over a month now with the "new" DV program.

hi there don't waste your money calling the 1 888 # because those call center people don't really know what they are talking. I called them up yesterday asking about my visa then I was told that it's still under consular review but then when I checked the website of Delbros my visa has already been released so in short they cannot give you an accurate info. it's better if you call Grace of immigrant visa unit. she can give you a better answer. the # is 301-2000 local 5184 or 5185. Don't waste your time and money. If your wife recieved a pink slip all you have to do is wait. Calling the embassy can't help it to speed up. Just wait your visa will arrive I don't know how soon but it will. Goodluck!!

Thank you everyone for giving some good words,I am just really bothered by the time its taking so long,I saw some people here get thier visa a week or so, but in my case, I dont know what's going on,I am really devastated,,,so how can i get hold on to my senator or congressman regarding this matter? do i need to write them or go personally? can they really help in anyway?

I think you can let your fiance in the Phils. txt the DELBROS HOTLINE to know if the visa has been released to DELBROS.
