We are actually in Oklahoma right now and passed by AR thru I-40 today. Heading home tomorrow :)

Nice to see you again in this thread Mae :)

Hello, sis Myla! Sorry, haven't been here for so long. Been real busy lately. So how's your driving? I bet Joe appreciates your help (with the driving)... Have you done any "Filipina driver" moves yet? Last time I drove, I tried to beat the red light for like 3 times... my passenger was just mellow about it...

Mae, Saturday the 11th, I am suppose to install a new furnace at a commercial property in Kansas City. It is very possible that Saturday the 18th might work for us. What do you think? I don't go oncall until the 27th of the month..

The 18th sounds good to me. We'll see if everything works out. We're really missing you guys! I have been saving "Pangasinan daing na bangus" and "suman sa ibos" for you all. I hope it's still will be good by then... Otherwise, I'll have to eat it all and feed you with "pork sinigang" instead... or your ultimate favorite meatloaf... how's that sounds?

Hi Again Mae. My driving is doing great. I have already driven the interstate alone twice and I felt like I won the Lottery, hehehe. I consider it a great accomplishment. Yes, I have been helping Joe a lot driving because he is just 2months post-op and in fact he still uses a pillow to rest his right arm while driving because the car motion is too much for his shoulder if it is a long drive. Because I have not really driven in the Philippines, I have no Filipina driver moves, lol. Although , one funny experience, I drove alone going to Walmart and I was probably about 100 yards from the traffic light going 45mph. The light turned yellow and I just hit my brakes, believe me I was almost in the intersection when my car completely stopped. I had to back up a little bit, hehehe. When I told Joe about it, he told me I actually had time to cross the intersection before the red light. Well, my next drive alone, it happened again but I didn't stop and just went thru.

I am still learning a lot and Joe is a great teacher. On our way home, Joe tricked me and I had to drive down Montgomery( I-65) , AL where the traffic was really bad. It was an 8 lane interstate road and my knees were shaking, hahaha. But I survived and Joe just kept telling me I had to keep driving to deal with that kind of traffic. So far so good, no dents on my car yet and I am getting mroe confident each time.

BY the way Mae, you know pala Thenderlyn? She is married to Jason and also from Colorado. We know each other online a few years back. We only found each other again in Friendster.

Take care and keep in touch. Tomorrow, Joe and I with our fellow VJr's near us are going boating in the Gulf of Mexico. It will be great.
