my fiance sent something thru xoom..this is our first time to use this one..he only put there my name mae and last name..in my id my full name is mae loraine plus the last name

when i went to pick it up..they wont give it since its only mae and my last name..

anyone encountered this one?

what can i do to rectify this one? is this possible since this was only sent thru online?

need your suggestions..thanx

Hello,

I have no experience like this with xoom but with western union. And the sender called Western union about my name so they made correction on the name and got it the next day.

Just ask your fiance to call xoom.

My mom and fiance' sends thru XOOM. My mom calls their office to correct their error in typing my name. There got few times they typed my name as MA. instead of MARIA. It won't take long correcting it.

My husband and I have been using xoom for a year now and the only problem I encountered was when the time he sent me money it was his bank's clearing. So I wasn't able to get the money for 3 days. As far as xoom, they are really strict, just like any other institutions. since I haven't encounter this problem, I'd still suggest that tell your fiance to change the name of the recipient, what I am really not sure is if when xoom already got the money from his credit card or bank account, it was probably a big mistake not to put your full name. Another suggestion would be try to claim it from any cebuana lhuiller they are a lot lesser stricter that some claiming centers.

Please tell your fiance that next time when he will send money to you, to be careful and put your complete name and details about you as what will appear on the ID's that you will be presenting.

i was worried since it was done online...

actually, i went to cebuana lhuiller and thats the experience i encountered...the first branch they said that i have to wait for 1 hour because the incharge was not there..2nd branch they dont have the form anymore..3rd branch thats the time they said that it should be in full name..:(

well i will just inform my fiancee about this

I am just wondering why the moderator is closing some of the VJ members topic in the Philippine Forums?

I wish the moderator can explain the following questions.:

Why topics needs to be closed just because they are sharing some ideas, or trying to take away some boredom to our VJ members here?

I thought the REGIONAL FORUM like philippines and other countries can submit topic such as:

"This Forum is dedicated to discussion on the major regions around the world. Topics of discussion may include travel, moving, what to eat and any other experience you may wish to share or inquire about. Have fun!"

What if the poster does not want to post in the OFF TOPIC and she/he is comfortable posting in the Philippine Forum because she or his fiance is from the Philippines..?

Did he ever check and close some threads in the PHILIPPINES, MENA, ASIA PACIFIC, GERMANY and other countries included in the REGIONAL FORUM, because he feels that those topics need to be posted in the OFF TOPIC FORUM?

I just think this is unfair, I mean this is just a forum and just try to help people as much as we can, we can just leave and cancel our membership if we want to, but we want to help people enjoy and take away their boredom..

We should be FAIR across the BOARD in closing the thread, if they feel it is violating the VJ policy, Then they should be specific on the restriction of each FORUM.

I agree, there is no need for these threads to be closed. Moved to OT maybe, but not closed, as there has been no OP request nor a TOS violation.
