How can you possibly hope to curb teenage sex in Alaska? Its ALASKA! What the hell else are they going to do during the winter???

I have a 17 year old to whom I have taught abstinence. Shockingly enough, even given my mistakes, he values the idea of sex being saved for the person you intend to spend the rest of your life with. Perhaps, as naysayers tell me, that will go out the window when he goes to college, but at least I've tried.

I don't think I'm prepared to judge Palin's choice to cut funding on this without having some more concrete numbers as to what the budget was for this place in comparison to other such shelters. I don't think cutting state funding for this means she's an evil hypocrite.

No, you're not. You're just displaying family values- which have been hypocritically cornered by the so-called conservatives. ;)
