When saving our chat logs can I only save a portion?

I have been logging my husband and I's chat logs for his interview (when that day comes). I dont feel comfortable showing them all of our information. So is it okay, I cut and paste some portions of the chats out?

They dont even look at them so i;ve heard but it's good to have them.

i printed like a lot of our chatlogs and emails! but then they never even asked for it.. u can copy and paste parts of ur chat it doesnt really matter. we discuss a lot of private stuff online so they don't need to know any of that! goodluck!

I copied bits and pieces of a conversation and pasted them on excel so they can be seen on only one page each. They still showed the people having the conversation, the day and time and I also made sure the conversations made sense. I took any smileys or LOLs out of there because they're really not necessary. I did that for 2 days of each month for a period of almost 3 years and didn't have to deal with any extra pages. And yes, the CO who interviewed my husband read every single one of them.
