The conspiracy theory I have is that Rove delibrately withheld disclosing Bristol's pregnancy so that left-leaning blogs and Andrew Sullivan would start twittering like a sewing circle and start acting like a$$es and insane freaks so that the Laura Ingraham and Bill O'Reilly could become morally indignant about attacking the children and the lives of ordinary Americans.

He probably didn't anticipate they would go as far as saying Sarah faked her own pregnancy though. That was the cherry on the cupcake.

my exact thoughts too

You know....I think I just had an epiphany. What if McCain actually wanted to lose the election? One big F##k You to the Republican Party for what they did to him in 2000? If so, this really was brilliant on McCain's part.

hahahahaha. That would be awsome.

If Bristol's BF would have withdrew, a lot of this conversation would have never started...

But seriously, the "will Palin withdraw?" crowd would like nothing better - so they can feel important and like they have accomplished something. Nothing more than a bunch of juicy gossip mongers.

I'm a Palin hater - but I would like nothing more for her, at the end of her VP speech, so say, "and for all those who think I should withdraw, I say, #### you!"

We had a neighborhood Laborday party yesterday and I was shocked to hear that the majority of our neighbors (22 families) was going to vote republican. I didn't know if i was going to laugh or cry at the arguments (Obama is a Muslim, his wife is ugly, we're going to move to Canada if Obama wins the election etc etc) How very very stupid. We live in Westchester NY and I actually thought people would be less prejudiced here.

Seems to be going enough of that around the country, sadly.

I wonder if there is enough in that to come up with a good correlation to people's motives for voting... probably not.

Wishing you ten-fold that which you wish upon all others.

I hope not. She needs to stand up for her beliefs. And McCain needs to stand behind his judgement.

Like....everyone should carry a baby to term, no reason for abortion, no money to support all of those babies that will be forced on people, hmmm and apparently--babies are beautiful but I only want babies from my body, adoption is for chumps.

She is far, far, far right wing. And not enough experience to temper it.

And she could be a heartbeat away from the presidency?

No way.
