the US immigration system that makes it necessary for some people to break the law in order to better their lives all the while not exactly rewarding those who jump through all the hoops to do it legally. It doesn't really work well for anyone.

I couldda done with a couple of illegals to help me out in the garden this past weekend. My body is aching all over because I had to do it all myself. Well, except move one bunch of whateverkindofgrassthatstuffiscalled that I had to get James to do for me. I just couldn't dig it up anymore! But then I still had to re-plant it all and put down the mulch.

I'm still not done yet. Anyone know anyone who'd finish my back garden for a box of cold beer? ;)

My partner and I talk about this all the time. It's hard to not be a little resentful. The company he is employed by is the one that got busted for having the illegal immigrants at their plant. I'm sure many of you heard about that fiasco last week.

Ah, well... at least we have VJ (and each other!) :star:

Jan 23 '08 ~ met online

Mar '08 ~ 1st visit to Vancouver

May '08 ~ 2nd visit to Vancouver

Jun 08 ~ plans to move to the west coast!

Aug 8 08 ~ he moves to Bellingham

current ~ many trips back and forth across the border...
