Evening everyone!

My DH and I are trying to decide if it would be better to drive down early before the interview or to stay the night before in Detroit - we've had a look at some hotels on the web and when you read the reviews they look awful! As my 4 year old daughter will be with us, I was wondering if anyone could recommend anywhere to stay?

We stayed La Quinta Inn in Southgate the night before our 7:30am interview in Detroit. It is not a fancy place, but it was quiet, clean, affordable, and free breakfast!! :thumbs: And all the staffs were very nice and it served our purpose. There are a couple of restsurants around the hotel. And 1 was almost walking distance, which they had great burgers!! It was about 15 min drive from the hotel to USCIS Detroit office.

You will have better chance to getting decent hotels around Southgate, Taylor, and Allen Park. Wish you the best!

I don't know where your interview will be held, but the Weston is nice downtown (Detroit/Windsor area). God Bless you on your interview!

Hi I'm off to Detroit today for my interview tomorrow. We are staying at a really cheap place near Warren. I wanted to go to La Quinta but the price shot up $ 30 in 2 days. It looks really nice there, so I'd book early. Hope everthing goes well well at your interview. I'm soooooo nervous as I've waited almost 3 years for this.

Did you check out Priceline? that's where I booked mine

I stayed once in b&b "Inn on the Ferry street". It is downtown in historic district. Great stay and great breakfast, check it out.

note: They offer free shuttle in 5 miles radius.
