Make yourself busy if not working, try to take a short course like web designing, soap/candle/cologne making, or learning how to cook... Actually, there are a lot of things to do, so happen our mind sometimes are preoccupied by worries, irritation and all negative things because of the long petition/visa processing...

Hi Steve and Maria. Waiting for something to happen is indeed agonizing. I had to wait seven months for my visa. It's a good thing I kept myself busy. I had a graveyard shift job doing transcriptions, I was also going to school during the day and weekend pre-bar review at one of the universities in Manila. me and my husband get to chat almost everyday while I am at work for an hour and during the weekend when I am not working or not doing homework. Always remember that patience is a virtue. Time moves so fast that before you know it, waiting for your visa is over. -- Marie

Hokey Smoke!

Rocky: "Baby, are they still mad at us on VJ?"

Bullwinkle: "No, they are just confused."

I keep myself busy. The art of diversion!

Divert attention to other things should be the key. If you're tired of IMs and e-mails, maybe you can send a postcard or snail mail or a scanned handwritten love letter just for a change.

I did lot of crazy things while we’re apart. I even come up with different drawing of scientific inventions and formula! Later on, my husband will reply to me: Oh sweetie, this invention is in the market all ready. I experimented a lot from automatic can shaker to automatic sanitary bathroom. How crazy is that!!?? I’m not even gifted. I did everything that will just to keep myself away from loneliness.

After too many diversion tactics, communicating with my husband is still the best of it all.

Family and friends are big help too. Spend time with family and friends but if you're kind of anti-social or a loner (like me), joining online community is a good place to spend those spare times when not chatting or talking with our special someones.

I hope you and your special someone will be together soon. It will be extra extra special for sure.

May the Lord bless your journey!

thank you so much this will help me a lot.your so sweet..yes right now i start going tback to school to ease boredome somtimes..thank you for the advice and i really appreciate it..

GOD BLESS AND MORE POWER......

Yours Truly,

Maria and Steve

hello vjer's.guys i just like to ask how you cope up with waiting for the visa?me and my baby are really get bored and tired of waiting.we want so soon be together.

sometimes we feel depressed and we get cranky coz we miss each other so much.

hope that we get some advice or any suggestions...

thank you......

Hi There Steve_maria what we did was not to expect it sooner, we allocate a time of 5-6 months aftyer receiving the NOA1, then we get back to our lives.. i know some of the family members would ask "o, pano na yung application niyo? ok na ba?" then you would be forced to answer " aantay nalang po" which is supposed to be the case.. what i can suggest dont tell them the results so you wont be pressured heheheh.. hmm Like shape advised meet up with friends, bond with family eat the filipino food that you want and shop till you drop (these things you cant so here sadly unless you got relatives here and friends and tons of money for you to shop till you drop)

Congratulations and Ingats,

-jomay
