I'm an hour south of Boston and would love to meet up with you guys. :)

Send me a PM and we can plan something once he is living here.

He comes back tomorrow but only for a week so our time is precious.

Congratulations on your marriage. Are you both living here now?

We are still waiting for his visa for that but he is coming over on VWP for a visit and will be back for Thanksgiving bringing mum along and Christmas and Hogmany as well.

We have a British import shop in Peabody but he laughed at the prices. You can get a lot of stuff from home but at silly prices. There must be an online shop or some other options as I discovered that some items like Shortbread just doesnt travel well at all!

Have you any idea how to view TV shows from UK here? I've married an Eastender's addict who is also a Ranger's football fan so I'm trying to figure how he can view those here. :)

Thanks. Enjoy your time together. :)

Yeah we're both living in MA now (in Middleboro). We've been up to Salem though, which is by Peabody, right? It was lovely up there but very expensive.

We get our British things from a shop in Plymouth but obviously it's a bit out of the way for you out north.

I'll keep an eye on your journey and we'll plan something when he's all settled.

Grats you two. I take it the ATC problems on Saturday were not a problem for you ?

I was lucky going through Dublin as the later Chicago flight with Aer Lingus was not affected but saw flights to Newark, and I think Boston were up the swanney for a while.

No, apparently the reason I waited for nearly an hour for him to come out from customs was that the new (all black) suitcase he had purchased just before the trip was generally indistinguishable from several other all black suitcases going around on the carousel. *facepalm* Immigration and everything else was easy-breezy.

For christmas, he's getting a nice, colorful luggage belt thingy.

Pat came with two suitcases.. one old beat up blue one that she could recognize easily and one new bright pink one. There would be no missing that one on the conveyor... it positively glowed. In fact it looked "too-new". At the time of her POE airport security was leery of any new looking bags. Before she packed it, she had her son drag it up and down the street to "age" it a bit.
