I THINK YOU CRITICAL PEOPLE ARE MORE ANNOYING THAN ANY TRUE "TROLL" SO KEEP YOUR STUPID OPINIONS AND QUIT ACTING LIKE ONE TROLLING AROUND HERE INTERRUPTING THE THREAD WITH YOUR HUGE PHOTOS AND DUUUUHHS AND RETARDED COMMENTS AS YOU AREN'T THE ONLY PEOPLE HERE AND ARE HARASSING ONES WHO ACTUALLY WANT TO BE INFORMED OR FIND THIS INTERESTING. IF YOU DON'T LIKE THE TOPIC... GO AWAY!!

I'M SURE THIS PERSON IS ANGERED AT THIS INJUSTICE AND MAYBE FEELS POWERLESS TO DO ANYTHING BUT CAME HERE AND WANTS TO SPREAD THE TRUTH. MAYBE SHE WORKED AS A CONSULAR OFFICER OR A USCIS ADJUDICATOR NEEDS TO BE ANONYMOUS IF YOU ALL OPEN YOUR EYES AND ACTUALLY READ THIS STUFF YOU WOULD NOTICE THAT THIS OBVIOUSLY A PERSON WHO IS TRYING GIVE US INSIDE INFORMATION THAT IS EYE OPENING.

ANYWAY WHY ARE YOU SO UPSET WITH A VALID TOPIC? WHY DO YOU ALL ACT LIKE THIS ISN'T FACTUAL AND COMMON? THIS DOES HAPPEN.. JUST READ THE FORUMS! HOW MANY TIMES DO YOU READ ABOUT DENIALS BASED ON BIZARRE AND SEEMINGLY IRRELEVANT REASONS AND THEY GET AWAY WITH IT.

All the reasons written here are true, whether it is upsetting or not i,t is still reality . I can say that based on my own experience. ConOff are humans but they think they are the most powerful people and they can "manage" your life.

Let face reality here and stop blaming other for our own mistakes......

Most Visa denial or delays are 99.99% percent correct.....

Let face it ....

1. how many have screwed up with the paperwork before submitting or found an incompetent lawyer?

nothing is easy in life...why should the VISA be....research for as much information as possible before starting in a journey, u always be prepared for some roadblock along the way.

2. Again.... lack of research regarding the IMMIGRATING/expatriating country, their laws and their customs....some do not know the difference between Police Certificate and Good Conduct Certificate and how to obtain it...

Along with other requirements that are specific to that country alone.....

3. Lack of research about the person you are trying help to obtain a visa...

for example in long distance relationships..

your FIANCE/WIFE/Whoever conveniently forgot to tell you some minor detail that will result in VISA DENIED.....

Just because you assume your relationship is based on TRUST, the USCIS process is based on hard evidences.

Get all the documents required before they are actually needed it and make sure they are not falsified / misrepresented, Etc...

1) Petitioner doesn't appear at visa interview with beneficiary => Some petitioners can be naieve enough to trust conoffs with their relationships.

BS--I didn't attend, and many other haven't either. No problem at all.

2) Couple doesn't share a common language => AKA it's none of your business.

Frankly, I'd be suspicious too.

3) Significant differences in age, socio-cultural background and religious beliefs => Again, it's none of your business.

I haven't seen a lot of evidence for this.

4) Petitioner divorced three or more times => In the US, two-thirds of the divorces are filed by women.

5) Beneficiary unaware of petitioner's divorces or general reasons for them => Do conoffs fully disclose their backgrounds to the DOS?

That would be a red flag for me as well.

6) Petitioner having filed two or more fiancee petitions before => This was finally legalized in 2005 under the IMBRA.

7) Any of petitioner's previous fiance(e)'s violated the terms of their visas => Why should the petitioner be held accountable for fiance(e)'s actions?

Maybe because the petitioner clearly has poor judgement?

8) Any of petitioner's previous wives left at the two year mark with their green card permanent residency => Blame the no fault divorce laws.

That would be a red flag for me as well. Especially if it happened more than once.

9) Petitioner with a history of criminal, family court or restraining order background, especially concerning domestic violence, sexual abuse or molestation => Lack of a partner will really improve these social ills.

That would be a red flag for me as well.

Si, man -- like someone without a timeline who mixes up the USCIS petition with consular visa-issuance is credible. Read the "U.S. Consulate in Guayaquil, Ecuador" thread in the Latin American subforum for some eye-opening insights that are hardly fly-by comments (like some that we could mention). Edited by TBoneTX

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

I agree as well...in Colombia on the day of our Embassy interview there were 2 denials(or at least temporary denials) ahead of our interview and the people were told tell the petitioner to come to the next interview and we will see if we can approve.

I think it depends on the strength of the case and the way the beneficiary presents himself/herself.

Perhaps in Thailand (is the USC even permitted to enter the embassy?). In several Latin American consulates (at least), the petitioner must be present, or the visa will (or strongly risks) being denied. In this circumstance, the strength of the case or the poise of the interviewee is irrelevant.

USC is NOT permitted inside the Bangkok embassy for the interview. However, if 221g is issued, USC can enter the embassy to submit additional evidence of relationship and anything else they ask for.

In previous years it seems like the USC WAS allowed in for the initial interview. Story is a USC punched the CO when his fiancees K1 was denied. Not sure how true that is.

Note:

Please fill out I-130, wait 6 months for approval, then 3 more months for an interview. (Unless of course we've bombed your country into the stone age, then you qualify for expedited processing.)

Welcome to the USA!!!

Must've been a case of missing or defective Plexiglass. Perhaps a lot of COs can attribute their continued health to the existence of Plexiglass.
