Oh, I didn't know that Nessa. My friends used to sign me in all the time and we went shopping together, it was never a problem, so I didn't think it was forbidden.

your friends (american and german) should know that violates sofa (status of forces agreement). the germans run the risk of getting in hot water with the Steuermann. americans can lose their shopping privileges and face fines in german court, ucmj action if military, and dependants can be sent back to the states over it.

Holy moly, that's crazy! And we did that every weekend for about two years (my ex was in the infantry and then had a GS job) and even took my Mom shopping with us. No one's ever said anyhing. I guess we were just lucky.

Well...today has turned to sh*t. I just found out one of my really good friends in London died on Friday. She had a heart problem since she was a child and apparently her heart just stopped in her sleep. They're doing an autopsy on Thursday to see if there was anything else that contributed to it. She was only 25. It's always pretty shocking to me when someone so young dies.

My days just got even more busy b/c Kavi is getting all around the living room and trying to get into other places, almost crawling but right now scooting fast and almost pulling himself to stand. So even after child proofing, it's a scary thing! "NO" is used all the time now.

I know how you feel...my cousin is almost 6 months now and she isn't crawling but she rolls around the floor all over the place. I'm always scared she's going to roll under a chair or something. She's getting so freaking fast!

so last week Hubby asked for Friday off.. he filled out the vacation request form and everything and he got the day off and today he finds out that he won't get paid for that day because he doesn't get paid vacation till after a year and then it is only 5 days....

when hubby was interviewed they told him that vacation started after 3 months and it was 2 weeks

what really makes me mad is that they should have told him last week that he wouldn't get paid if he took the day off... :angry:

oh and to top things off hubby is only getting paid for 2 hours today because there is no work....

yeah that sounds like a plan..

the problem with this company is that they don't seem to have a HR department.. the secretary handles everything and doesn't seem to be on top of things...

it is a good thing I am working now or we would really be in trouble..
