Hope you get better, Nessa!

I am going to bed soon as well. I still have my sinus infected (and I took two rounds of antibiotics) and my throat hurts. Just watching my weekly soap and then I call it a day.

Pedro is at his second job and I miss him. Usually we talk all weekend, but now he works saturday and sunday. Only or a couple of months though, still I am used to have himn around on the weekend, even if it's only via the internet.

The puppies are so cute...I used to live with two brothers from Syria and they had a lovely Pit Bull called Roxy. It sounds dodgy, I know, but it was really nice living with them and they were cool guys. Plus their parents ran a bakery, so we always had lots of fresh bread and pastries in the house.

Sit in front of the front gate with a net and try to catch one of the abandoned ones? Was that your idea?

I might get a chia-pet.

see if you can get a stars and stripes newspaper. depending on where you are, rhein main air base will probably be your best bet. also, if you can get on base there, or at hanau or wiesbaden - there are usually flyers at the px and post offices giving away cats or kittens.

Rhein Main closed a while ago actually...and they only sell the stars and stripes on base. Oh hey, they have classifieds online too!! I'll check that out! Thanks for bringing that up!

Charles, you need to come here so we can go to the PX and comissary to go shopping, so I can stock up on easy mac and pop tarts  - you can't get in without a military ID. Even a USC would not be allowed in, unless they have an ID.

but I think an older cat will be ok for 8 hours a day. Am I so terribly wrong about that?

No you aren't wrong about that. Our cat, Finnegan, is 8 and he would truly much prefer that we leave him the heck alone until he is ready for attention.

Adorable!

I'm sick of the political threads too. Seriously. Enough bashing.

Oh, I didn't know that Nessa. My friends used to sign me in all the time and we went shopping together, it was never a problem, so I didn't think it was forbidden.

your friends (american and german) should know that violates sofa (status of forces agreement). the germans run the risk of getting in hot water with the Steuermann. americans can lose their shopping privileges and face fines in german court, ucmj action if military, and dependants can be sent back to the states over it.

Holy moly, that's crazy! And we did that every weekend for about two years (my ex was in the infantry and then had a GS job) and even took my Mom shopping with us. No one's ever said anyhing. I guess we were just lucky.
