I am here! In case anyone missed me for the hour I was gone

My janitor lady fixed my heaters and now it's warm in here. I am eating more home made soup and I am in my pjs - my life might sound pathetic, but it's actually not. I work hard and enjoy doing fick all at home B)

How is everyone coping today?

Booty had Taco Hell? It's the suck! Not even I like it!

Gotta eat some soup and call mi madre now.

Oh...Pedro mentioned that Univision broadcasted something else instead - how dare they?

I was in a good mood until about 3 minutes ago, when my Mom called me and was mad because a) I didn't call her yesterday (I was busy, but I usually calll her every day) and B) because I will only see her briefly tomorrow (I have plans with a friend) and c) because I won't see her at all next Saturday, because I am going to visit my best friend and her newborn. For the past year or so, I have been going over there every Saturday. I don't mind doing that. But I don't want to have the feeling that I have to.

Also, when I was in Char, she made a big drama out of it, since she missed me so much.

So I am annoyed now. Thanks Mom.

I don't know. I'm just glad whatever is going on with me right now is going on with me. I've been eating like a horse, anything I want to eat, and I still lost 5 pounds this week. I'm not even exercising right now either. Sweet! I love me some good fattening food when it doesn't go straight to my @ss.

Booty, something's wrong with that. God, I'd love to have that problem...but are you getting checked out for it? It could be serious. Don't want to alarm you, but you might want to get checked out for diabetes, as people who can eat alot yet are losing weight could be diabetic. They just pee out a lot of water weight. Normally, your metabolism doesn't change overnight...you're either high or low, one doesn't usually change it.

I just got back from lunch with a pal and had an asparagus cheese melt. Half of an open croissant, sliced peppered turkey breast, steamed asparagus and melted cheese.

It was bloody lovely.

i'm not working out as much as i used to. 5 days a week, 30 min cardio, 30 min weight lifting, now i'm doing 2-3 times a week, sometimes 10, 15 min, hardly ever 30 min cardio, so yeah, i feel guilty

Yeah, I know. But the whole cancer thing works really well. I constantly feel quilty about not spending enough time with her, since we don't know how much time we have left.

I've been tested for everything under the sun and all tests are normal. I don't know what it is. I've never been a big person anyway. My weight fluctuates between 100 and 115 pounds. I just go through cycles like this.

Been there, done that. My Mum died of cancer a couple of years ago and although she never emotionally blackmailed me, I still felt a little guilty that I couldn't spend more time with her (she lived in another country for a start). I was with her at the end though, and she did hold on for me. Three hours after I arrived and we communicated (she couldn't talk at this point, just squeezed my hand and smiled the best she could) she fell unconsciousness.

Five days later she died and I was with her for that last week, making her comfortable, talking to her (not sure how much she understood) and so on.

It's a tough situation to have to handle.

Congrats on the NOA2 dairyfarmer!

Julie...Sorry to hear that, that's a tricky situation definitely.

With my aunt being gone now, I am regretting not seeing her more often. I feel guilty. It always seems to happen in life, with me at least. Before my grandfather died in '99, he had been sick for awhile so at first we saw him a lot and then I got used to the fact that he wasn't doing well, and kind of went on with life and just saw him occasionally. Then he had a stroke and died within a day or two, so I never got to have a nice conversation with him before that. The last time I talked to him, he had called late at night b/c he fell out of his chair and needed my dad to drive over to help him get up. I answered the phone, and that's the last time I got to talk to him. I hadn't seen him in a couple weeks and he lived so close. He was in a coma from his stroke at the hospital and never could talk to us before dying. I got to see him, but while he was dying. I always felt bad that I didn't see him at least once a week before that. And now with my aunt too, I hadn't seen her for a couple months before she died and I am regretting that a whole lot. We were close. I wanted to see her again, but I didn't get to, not ever again on this earth. So maybe your mom is just scared, this is a scary time. I hope she gets through all this though and it has a happy ending.
