my only concern now is that she doesn't yet know that I don't have recent references... :P

it is $8 to 10 dollars an hour...

these are younger kids so I probably won't have to do a lot if any driving..

I actually think your rate is quite low Marilyn. Hope you get this gig!

it seems average for these parts.. I have seen people offering 5 dollars an hour... or 20 to 25 bucks a day... :o

there are a lot of people around here that are willing to work for next to nothing and what is more sad that there is a lot of people who are willing to pay next to nothing...

i do understand that a lot of families can't afford much when it comes to childcare.. it wouldn't be worth it to them to work if all their money was going to childcare but I know a lot of these families who are hiring people for dirt cheap could probably afford to pay more...
