I have always wondered why people slather their cinnamon rolls with icing.. ugh.... that totally ruins the cinnamon roll...

I like to eat mine piece by piece with a little butter and ending up with the middle which is the best part ... mmmmm

I am an icing person...well, maybe not icing but glaze. I love the glaze on hot cross buns...yum! Can't wait for easter now. Hopefully this year they come out better than this years.

I'm with you on this one Julia. I absolutely love to have my cinnamon rolls smothered in cream cheese icing. There is nothing better than a cinnabon.

hmmm... :P

well, my mom's cinnamon buns were so nice and soft and yummy, icing would have just ruined them...

Sacrilege.

I'm sorry! I can't help it. I'm just glad we don't have a cinnabon anywhere near me. My @ss would be twice as big as it is now if we did. Man those things are good.

Clearly, you've never had a cinnabon. There can't be anything any softer or yummier. The icing just adds the finishing touch. I could eat the icing by itself though. So maybe it's the icing I like so much.

Just couldn't stay my @ss away!

Apparently all the "homemade" cinnamon rolls I've had were the suck! Because cinnabon kicks their @sses anyday. My mom used to make her own too. As much as I love my momma, they didn't even compare.

Just couldn't stay my @ss away!

Note: this is about how brilliant I think I am. Please ignore if you must.

I get really tired of my CW students using certain words "to death." Therefore today I made them a list of "dead words" which may not appear in any of their memoirs (what we're working on right now). Then I had them create a tombstone for a particular word (in groups). They looked up their word in the dictionary and/or thesaurus and had to come up with 5 better alternatives for that dead word. They made little cards with the synonym and attached them to the tombstone. We hung them in the classroom as a visual reminder. I'll bring a camera tomorrow and take a picture because I'm so damn proud of my lesson.

BTW, this was one of those lessons that evolved spontaneously because I didn't feel like doing what I'd previously planned.

I am now finished extolling the brilliance of my teaching....

aah, now I see.. if you have never had my mom's cinnamon rolls.. they are the best...

All the homemade ones I've ever had have been too doughy and not enough cinnamon and butter. I like thin layers with tons of butter, cinnamon, and sugar. Every time I see homemade ones (can't say eat because I just don't bother anymore) they are really thick layers with hardly and stuff on them.

Just couldn't stay my @ss away!
