we can't decorate any holidays here at work in case the parents / kids don't celebrate. not even halloween, isn't that insane?

Not it is sad. Lets just rip all diversity of humanity to make one master intermingled race of atheists.

What do they call this again, the borg..

umm what does atheism have to do with not putting up Christmas Decorations? :P

Nothing. I think religious/spiritual celebrations and education are not the job of the K-12 system. Should be done at home. School has enough ####### they are already NOT doing to waste time with that #######. My .02

ummmm...people confuse me...I didn't know people still used walkmans?!

They do?

I don't do either X-mas or Halloween; and I do think schools should be secular: as in no religious celebrations of any kind. But I don't have kids, so there :P

I LOVE decorating!!! My classroom is totally decked out for the holidays...all of them. Yeah, there are some things that being the Creative Writing teacher is good for, and this is one of them :-)

I used to have this ceramic-y, resin-like, dog that has costumes for all the holidays. But a student accidentally broke it a couple of weeks ago, so we found a stuffed frog in my school closet and we put the costumes on that instead. Seriously, I think they were more bummed than I that the dog got broken.

I seriously need help.

ps I teach in a Catholic school, Len so don't ####### at me for mixing religion and education...I can do as I damn well please :P

Your case is different indeed - parents chose to have their kids religiously schooled. Though you are still a freak, but I luvz u :luv:

Not unless it comes to XXXXX heritage month. Then that should be rammed down kids throats.

But apparently English should not.

According to the Internal Revenue Service, the 400 richest American households earned a total of $US138 billion, up from $US105 billion a year earlier. That's an average of $US345 million each, on which they paid a tax rate of just 16.6 per cent.
