The Say Anything Thread - take 6

Know what I think would be fun...an ugly face thread. People have to post a picture of themselves(no google search items) making an ugly/silly face. I think everyone has one, that face you have been making since you were a kid. No pretty pictures allowed. Don't know if I'll really make that thread one day, but it'd be funny I think.

Last New Year's Eve when I was in Germany, Patrick, my bff, his bff, and I decided to do some Andy Warhol-esque art. It came about because I was sick and someone gave me a nasty azz German cough drop. My face immediately contorted into a picture of hideousness. Someone took a photo of it. So everyone had to taste the cough drop (not the same one...ewwww) and make a face and get their photo taken. One day I will have those 4 photos made into a poster...

It went ok. It's for an actual library position, not just admin work like I do now. I actually have no library experience. Working in the library in admin is as far away from library experience as you can get, go figure. I found out after it was over they have 2 other candidates they are interviewing that do have library experience. I won't get the job. It's ok though. I really just applied for it because one of my friends works in that dept and encouraged me to go for it. If I get it, it would be nice because it'd get me out of this office. But if I don't get it, I won't really care.

Good work sister!!!! Just keep at it. I check the vacancies here weekly. I had a tiny bit offer from Edmonds Community College but turned them down - though I will maybe take one lectureship once a week in the Spring with them.

Len, what do you teach? If I didn't love my current teaching job so much I would aim for community college. I only have an MA so none of the unis here will hire me

We're going on a short trip this weekend. We're going to GA to a football game then on to Savannah. We're just leaving at 12 on Friday and coming home on Sunday. At least it gets me away from here.

I doubt it. We will probably get there around 8 Friday night. The football game is at 3 on Saturday so that means we'll go there about 1. We'll have a little bit of time before the game. It should be over by 7ish because it's on tv. We'll go on to Savannah that night. Then we'll have a couple of hours Sunday morning to do something before we have to leave to go back home.
