Have a problem.. We got married within 2 weeks of her getting here but shortly there after I had a tragedy happen within my family... her k1 visa expires on the 14th of september.. but at the moment we do not have the money needed to file the AOS Papers.. do they give extensions? only need a few weeks beyond that date. does anyone have any info on that.. my email is lon3555@yahoo.com.

hello, you can still file AOS later as long as you are already married with in the 90 days of I-94.

You are fine. You have met the sole requirement of the K-1 - to get married within 90 days. While it is best to file before the I-94 expires it is not a requirement. Do the best you can to get the money together and file as soon as is reasonable for you. Between the time her I-94 expires and she files for AOS your wife will not have a legal status within the US but that is unlikely to cause any problems. A few weeks especially shouldn't cause any difficulties.

You can file AOS even after your I-94 expires, just do it ASAP and tell them your hardship if in even they ask why you took long in filing for AOS. As long as you meet the K1 requirement for marrying your fiance within the first 90 days of arrival in US, you are fine to file for AOS.
