Hi, I know that the instructions says that it has to be notarized, but I was reading a transcript of questions asked of the Embassy Consulate in the Philippines, and he said that the I-134 does NOT have to be notarized. Has anyone heard of this or not had theirs notarized?

I am currently living in the Philippines with my fiancee and can not have it notarized by a US Notary.

Thanks,

Dan

Notary services for US Citizens are offered at Consulates and Embassies. The best practice is to notarize the form. Technically, the I-134 is not a required form but it's usually the easiest and most popular way to deal with the public charge concern.

Never heard of it not being notarized and since the instructions state that it has to be notarized, I think you better get it notarized :)

Also, US Notary services can be done on the US Embassey, as long as you are a US citizen ;)
