Hi, all!!!

Me and my husband filed for AOS back in July and we just received RFE, asking for initial evidence which was for TAX RETURN FOR MOST RECENT TAX YEAR. Does the most recent tax year means 2007? We have filed everything that they needed but I am not sure what are they implying? Looks like we did not file the form 1099 along with the W-2 form. Is form 1040 is the same thing as 1099? or I found something called COMPOSITE SUBSTITUTE 1099 STATEMENT ACTIVITY DETAIL. and COMPOSITE SUBSTITUTE 1099 STATEMENT SUMMARY. If anyone know what are those please let me know. Also if anyone who knows complete checklist of what kind of tax related documents should we file, please let us know. Looks like my husband went to H&R block and e-filed his returns. What kind of documents should be there??

Another thing, will RFE delay my process???

Thank you all!!!

The only documents related to tax matters and income that we submitted were:

1) W-2s of US citizen wife and co-sponsor

2) Income Tax 2007

3) Pay stubs of the last 6 months for both wife and co-sponsor

If you didn't submit the income tax for 2007, I'm pretty sure they are asking for it, we got an RFE because I forgot to add my wife's W-2s and just sent the co-sponsor's, I sent them as soon as I received the RFE and that worked for them.

1099 is not the same than the 1040,
