Hi everybody!

I am happily married with my girlfriend from Paris. She is from California and i came to NY to finish my studies and be with here.

We just got married last Friday and I am needing to know which documents i need for the AOS if I am legally here with a M-1 Visa.

I have all the information for the AOS and I am really worried about the I-864 Affidavit of Support, She is a student with a Student Loan so She can't be my sponsor... we don't know what to do. She is orphan so, she doesn't have a member of the family who can sponsor me...

I guess we can use a friend... Is it ok if we have some money in a foreign account? i mean, will it counts like assets?

Thanks a lot for you help!

Overseas assets or accounts don't count. You need to get in touch with a local community organization, church or friend who can support you: knowing he/she needs the last 3 years of taxes. I see you're spanish like me: I'm in New Jersey though.

Don't let the choices chose you, chose the choices that you want.

You say your wife is from Paris. Is she a US Citizen?

On what date did you last enter the USA?

On what date did you decide to marry?

Congratulations on your marriage!

You wife will need a co-sponsor in order to meet the income requirements if she doesn't have a job now.
