Noura, what preparations are happening in your area?

I saw the HUGE steel walls they have put in place for flooding. Nagin was on tv talking too.

I don't know if I can make the chat.. We made plans to go up to PA and meet some friends for hookah and food... But I am thinking of you all and hoping so much that you are going to stay safe!!!

from what i've seen in the news, this time he won't have his head up his ####### about a hurricane coming to town.

I hope not.. He's really scaring people on tv, but I think it's necessary to avoid a problem like last time... I just really hope that everyone is taking the warnings and getting out and not staying around to ride it out

I will try to come to chat tonight, missed it last night, it will be good to sit and shot the breeze with some good friends. Looks like this will be a big old boy coming, as it looks now I might not get so much, but it is already cloudy and windy here, just hope it doesn't wobble in the gulf, it will strenghten but damn if it wobbles just a bit, in my way, I will be a very unhappy camper. lol

I've got to write a paper tonight and turn it in by Midnight ( wasn't really procrastinating, just trying to come up with a really good essay topic ) Anyone have any good ideas to write about Islamic Arab traders in the Indian Ocean before the arrival of the Europeans in 1500 CE? J/K - I have a few ideas, just trying to come up with a good thesis statement and a clear point of view

So I might stop by on the chat tonight, depending on how this paper goes

Dude! I'm so glad I went to check on our hurricane candles b/c they'd been in the laundry room and had somewhat melted, leaving the wicks buried in wax. I just dug them all out and made sure they would all light up . We definitely have somewhere b/t 14-20 candles.

I'm going grab an iced latte (last one for a while) and I'll be back shortly. What time are we heading to the sand bag, err, I mean box?
