We got our NOA2 - after checking my status online almost dayly last week (usually after a RFE it seems to take 2 weeks to get approval) with no change, we got the NOA2 in the mail yesterday. Very unexpected, but great news!!

I am very happy now I started the process to get my police reports. (The South African website says 21 days ... but we all know the difference between the website time estimate and the real time stuff takes)

Now I get to compile stacks and stacks of papers again ... such fun!

That's good! Congrats!

Adiiann - make sure you triple check everything and not miss nuttin, I dun want what I am going through to happen to you. Being in AP sucks and our visa will be delayed at least 2 to 4 weeks.

If you have any questions about anything do not hesitate to ask, I'd be glad to answer any questions you have!

Godspeed

Awwww... thanks! By the way, I asked somebody here, sometimes, the "No Record" and "No Criminal Record" depends on the NBI personnel that encode your data, because it has same meaning here. I checked my first NBI clearance, it says "No Record".

I hope you will get the your visa soon.

Hi everyone,

I sent in our petition Saturday 8-30 and it was signed for at 5:35AM on 9-2. Now comes the fun part, my plan is to try to be patient and not worry about it for 4 months and hope the NOA2 comes sooner. I think I can do this but I seriuosly have my doubts about my fiancee being that patient, we'll just have to see what happens. Good luck everyone!

Jeff :D

Say Jeff.....noticed you were about 3 weeks ahead of me. My Gal also in China. Your timeline so far is online with where mine is at..so we also are waiting for Embassy notification. We were approved by NVC Jan.26

My Gal is in Fujian Prov.---Ningde City..waiting for Guangzhou Embassy. If you would, or if your Gal would like to contact mine, send to mytinnmann@aol.com...I found another fella who is a few weeks behind us, and the 2 girls have talked..they feel much better knowing someone else is in the same situation.

Yes....the waiting is tuff! Ronn

Our paperwork was accepted atthe CSC on September 22, 2008. Duncan has his medical exam on Monday morning (6am - YIKES!). When we return to his home in London (Ontario, Canada) we'll be sending off the checklist and the required forms to the Consulate in Montreal.

Wow... I just hope we get the interview and he receives his Visa before July 15... the wedding rehearsal is the 16th and the wedding is on the 17th!!

I'm crossing my fingers and hoping and praying that all goes well from here on out. :)

Hey I was wondering about you to see if you were still alive lol. Sam's interview is on the 23rd of March and and he gets approved right now we are looking at him traveling here around April 8th with a possible wedding date on May 9th. It's gonna be really difficult for him as he has never been on a plane before let a lone traveled to another country.

We made it here on the 19th of February, and got married "officially" on friday the 27th, I didn't want to waste any time getting the AOS paperwork done, with how slow the system is.

Good luck on the interview!!
