Alright, got a question - can anyone help here? Grace tried to schedule the interview for her Visa. According to the embassy web-site, collect the information required, schedule the interview. Well She sent the information from Packet 3 on Friday, Tried to schedule the Interview on Tuesday. I dont know if they received her Packet # data yet or not, so that could be the problem, but ultimately, they sent an email accepting the interview, then another email that said:

"We are very sorry to let you know that your case is still under review and is not ready for an interview. We have cancelled attached interview appointment. You will be contacted when ready to proceed with the further process.

We apologize for the mistake."

Any idea why they wouldnt accept or what "under review" means at the embassy? From what I read, it seems they review the documents live and in person with the applicant. So is there some process that I am missing? Thanks.

Hi!

By the way, to whom should I ask for medical certification for airports because i have metal screw in my left ankle? Does it needs to be in St. Lukes Extension Clinic or from my doctor? Here in the Philippines, the airport authorities asked for medical certification for an implant metal in the body.

Another question, do you think they need my medical records from my recent operation for my left ankle?

Thanks for reply! :D

I think any doctor's certification will work (St. Lukes should be fine). As far as your recent surgery, I would get the medical records just to be on the safe side. It should be good reference for a Doctor in the US if you ever need to have it looked at again.

Haven't posted here for a little while... just thought I would point out to any Sept filers still left, for some of us there is a yet more waiting after all the waiting on Igors list for NOA2 , and before the waiting can begin for Packet 3 & Interview at embassy.

It's called the purgatory of NVC-AP status. Yes, while the vast majority of K-1 filers sail through the NVC effortlessly in a week or so, some of us get randomly picked on for more abuse. Apparently this can be a 6-8 week black hole, in some cases longer. I just learned that I've been placed there tonight. Rats.

For any other unlucky filers, there is a VJ support group for the select few chosen for this extra service of the US government.

Apparently my new VJ hangout is going to be http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...amp;pid=2607972

Most of the same stuff, but no letter of intent from her - I figured if she was showing up in person, there was really no need. No Cenomar either. No request from Japan embassy for it, so I hope it is not an issue. We finally got her daughter to Japan for the interview too, Medical on Thursday. I will let you know more as we progress. Good luck to everyone.

Hi, Hope everyone is well and things are progressing at a steady rate for you all. For those its not, keep in there, itll be all sorted soon.

I am just getting my stuff together as I got packet 3 on Friday.

A quick question I have, was that I have additional information that cant be fitted onto the DS-230 and DS-157 sheets, so i need to have include an additional sheet.

I was just wondering what is the format for these sheets. Do they need a specific heading etc., does anyone have a copy of one that they used and can send me.

thanks in advance.

Sorry, I dont, but I dont think it matters - no special format, just make sure it is clear what Question # you are responding to. Like on the I-129F, question 18 about how you met - no special format for answering, but generally more than those 3 lines are needed.

Huh..... every consulate have different requirements. Here, as I observe, once you think that your case already forwarded to embassy, you call them to set for an interview even without the packets yet. Then, just carry all the required documents as well as all supporting documents.

Well... good luck... I hope she and her daughter will have interview soon. Then, you can fly all together.
