Hello September filers. I sent my petition in September as well. September of 2007 that is!!! To give you an idea of how long it takes.....

I filed at the CSC and we received our NOA 2 on February 2, 2008 (this was about average). We then dealt with Mexico and they were pretty fast. We received our packet 3 on March 28, 2008, and technically could have went to our medical exam the very next day if we were ready. We decided to take about 10 days to make sure our final documents were in order and on April 11ish or so, my fiancee went to her medical exam. However, there was a problem at the medical exam. The situation is being corrected and she will be back at the US embassy in Mexico on December 11th or so.

I know it can be a bummer to hear that it takes so long, but I think things have sped up since I filed. Most people that filed their visas in September of last year had their visas in hand (at earliest February, March was still kind of early, a lot in April and a lot in May). And the Vermont Service Center was much faster at delivering the NOA 2's.

Anyways, best of luck to everyone, and the process actually goes by very fast so don't worry about that.

Heh, kinda hard to tell how long it takes on average for Greek petitions. Not many from Greece apparently leave. Or they don't leave to go to the U.S.

It appears that Sept filers are few and far between. So far, we have seen only one individual get their NOA1.

Karri - Please change the title to Sept 2008, CSC Filers. I think the Vermont group is pretty well read and posted, whereas individuals might not know whether it is CSC or not. Thanks.

Hello,

I hope this is the correct room to post for September K1 filers. I got a call from our lawyer today and he received our NOA1 notice. My official receipt date is 09-09-2008 at the Vermont Service Center. I am only concerned because I have a IMBRA waiver in my petition. I had 1 previously approved "canceled" petition in the 2 year period. I do not have a criminal record or anything like that. The posts that I have read it appears for the most part the waivers are being approved. My lawyer indicated it may take a little while longer to get through USCIS because of the waiver. I am keeping my fingers crossed and praying.

Best of luck to everyone!

Kind regards,

Jerel & Maria

For non USPS deliveries (private couriers) there is another address to use. I used the alternative address and shipped it overnight via UPS, hence I know who signed for it.
