In about an hour I will get on the bus and start my journey to the states to visit my sweety. I am excited to see him, but also stressing about the POE ... Keep me in your thoughts so I have no problems.

I will be carrying everyone here who can not be with their loved one over the hollidays with me in my heart. Stay strong ... and you soon you will be looking forward to that long horrible flight too.

Happy Thanksgiving to all! I hope everyone has a great thanksgiving as my Tanushka has once again brightened my day. I wish this went quicker, but I know I must wait :( Good luck to the ones who have made it to the end of this crazy train and for the remaining, keep your chin up, the end will come for us too.

Ok, so I was just thinking...not that it will make any difference, but if I sent my I129f on August 29 and got my NOA1 on September 2, does that make me an August or a September filer? I think I will stick it out with you guys either way because if I join the August forum then I am going to get depressed when everybody else gets their approvals before me...

Thanks. I hope you didnt take my comment in the wrong way - I am happy that you got a prompt response & I hope your son will be OK. The reason I mentioned the military was just from what I have seen on a few posts and whenever I call USCIS, they always ask me if I am military or not. Maybe there is nothing to it, but as I said, even if there was, I wouldnt really mind.

My expedite request is for basically the same reason, but my child is not yet born yet. However the doctors found an irregularity on the fetal stem :crying: , so I am trying to expedite the request so her and our child can get the best medical treatment.

Since they expedited your request out of the service center, did they tell you about next steps yet? Are you call each place to expedite the next steps? I am kind of wondering after CSC if I need to keep calling at each stage to request the expedite.

I have no idea, we haven't been told much. We both received emails advising that the expedite got approved and that they were sending the application by overnight DHL to the sydney consulate. Jacob then received a leter in Iraq that was posted 2 weeks ago advising that I should receive my interview pack within a week. Well its been over 2 and still nothing. I now have a new case number though, so i've sent off an email to both my home Melbourne and Sydney consulate office to check if it has been posted yet. I cannot bear making another phone call, especially as they charge $2.15 a minute to speak to an operator, to only tell me, 'I don't know anything.'

By the way, despite having a US embassy in every state in Australia I have to pay for an airfare to fly to Sydney for the day, with an infant for my interview, what a joke! The costs are just adding up and up. We are paying for our wedding in Hawaii in April. so the bills are piling up now. Added to this, I'm trying to organise my things to be sent by ship to Hawaii as it takes 3months, and I've just found out that I can not do it without my visa. Its just one headache after another. I'm literally pulling my hair out!!! :ranting:

Thant's terrible news about your child, they definatley should not refuse your request. You definatley need the best medical treatment, I know how devastating it is, you feel helpless with a sick child. Our son has been in and out of paedetricians and has been hospitalised, he's gone through so much pain with all these horrible tests. He's been screaming in pain 24/7 since he was born, he's 4 months old now and he's seriously under weight. It turns out all along that he has had food allergies, something so simple to treat. A tip as a parent, always go on your gut insticts some quacks are not always right.

Take care and all the best.

Thanks. Please keep us up to date as things progress. It might be helpful for us also.

I havent got any information - I finally found out they wanted more information, but that was by calling. I sent it, then called back a couple of days later and then they told me a name to send it to. I sent it again, then still no response. I sent a letter to the director last week, but still no response. I called USCIS again, and now I cant even get them to check for me.

I am a little pissed off that they wont even answer. I am expecting NOA2 in January anyway, but if they keep messing around, the expedite is useless. I requested on 11/12 and they promised a response by 11/17 - but still nothing.

I will let everyone know if anything happens for me.

Did you do anything interesting?

Has anyone from tried yet to participate in the customs of the SO's country yet - whether you were there or just in spirit.

My fiance always wanted to spend Christmas with me but the problem is that his job requires most of his time during December. Maybe when he get a new job that doesn't require him to work all the way in December, we will spend Christmas here in the Philippines. I don't have any favorite holiday nor him, but I like the season of fall and spring, and he loves winter.

Nothing interesting for now..... Just bunch of work here in the office and tons of assignment in my class. (Hahaha... I'm so left behind, my deadline is Friday next week.)

It's nice to hear so many approvals now. Wish they could finish those early batch so that they will process our cases now. ;)

 Christmas is coming and in Russia they do not celebrate like we do. I am very excited because I get to go and visit Tanushka again on the 1st day of January! In Russia, they celebrate Christmas on January the 7th and I will be with her. I will only stay in Blagoveshchensk until the 9th, but I will enjoy every day of my union with her. Russia has some different celebrations than we do here in America. I guess for New Years they drink and cook and stay up all night. The entire city closes and they all celebrate!! It is very cold where I am going and I live in Arizona, so I will go from warm to cold!! I had to buy a funny fur hat and new coat and the like. I will report back when I get back to America and tell how my trip was. I will also take many pictures and post some of them on this page.:dance::dance::dance::dance::dance:

Hi Fellow Sept FILERS... I just got back from being in Ecuador with my SO... :luv: I spent my birthday and thanksgiving with him and had a chance to spend more time with his family, too. It was such a dream!

While so wonderful to be there , one week flies by too quickly and the adjustment to be back to the grind here without him is really rough.

I realized I must just go numb because the distance gets to me. do any of you get this feeling? I get frustrated when we fall asleep talking , cause we just called each other to say goodnight, and then i wake up to the sound of him snoozing on the phone and I get frustrated when realize how I just wasted x amount of dollars on my calling card. I hate to see myself being cold. I saw the transformation from the pics at the beginning of my trip and til the end of the trip. Its like having that blast of love and affection is such a big boost and it really makes you both more beautiful!

To respond to the QUESTION, how do they celebrate holidays, They do not celebrate thanksgiving in Ecuador. However, when I was leaving they were getting ready for the Fiestas de Quito... which I had a chance to see how the people get festive for the holidays while celebrating the city.. Its weird to see how many similarities there are for celebrating christmas, due to globalization/capitalism. For example in the malls which they call, "shopping" are all decorated with elfs and pine... and holiday music in english. I am JUST excited to have him come meet my family and share in my traditions here. It's very unbalenced because he has never been here to the US.. and I know his country and his family ... thank goodness for technology and webcams/internet my family has a bit of an idea on who he is and what he is like.

:crying: When we parted it was like, we said, Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, Happy Valentine's Day , etc. SIGH!

I am hoping this is the last strech of being without him here by my side.

CHIN UP EVERYONE, cause we are not alone! ... Still awaitin that NOA 2... any clue when that should be coming?

Have a good night!

Yes, that's how I often get at the beginning. I isolate myself because I feel so numb that I cannot bring myself to see people or take care of myself for a while. It fades after a while though, and I start to get on with my life..
