I always wanted to start this thread. I've been waiting for over a year before we can send our packet in. My goal is to get it in the mail within 1-2 weeks. So that will make me a Sept 08 filer!

Thanks Alexandra! I made copies today of all of my evidence. Now comes the fun part of assembling it in the folder. I should be able to send it in right after I get Sam's paperwork hopefully by the end of the week.

Any other Sept filers here? I hope I'm not alone.

Hi everyone,

I sent in our petition Saturday 8-30 and it was signed for at 5:35AM on 9-2. Now comes the fun part, my plan is to try to be patient and not worry about it for 4 months and hope the NOA2 comes sooner. I think I can do this but I seriuosly have my doubts about my fiancee being that patient, we'll just have to see what happens. Good luck everyone!

Greetings everyone here...

Just a quick few questions...

It seems as if some know when things have been touched prior to receiving their first noa1 just wondering how you come to find this info?

Some also look like they got their apps right in and checks cashed. still waiting to see my check cashed electronically online with my bank and I know the packet was delievered to their post box last Saturday. Getting anxious, seems some get right through and some like mine sit and wait... I know I am in for a long wait but why is their such a difference in acceptance of apps, new ones coming in and processing payments ?

Last Question or thought here. I know on our timelines gives a promising estimate on aprox date the apps will be approved and sent to state office, but looking at processing times online, csc seems to be at least in august just starting January 2008 packets. That means we are nearly 8 or 9 months waiting instead of the typical 3-4 months?

For some it has taken a while. I know July and August filers were having fits with how long it took to get the NOA1/check cashed.

If it gets touched before your NOA1 I'd have no idea how one would know as I got my receipt # along with the NOA1.

The processing of the payment varies at each service center. You are still early in the game so dont get too nervous just yet. Once your check is cashed you can register with uscis website for updates.

The USCIS processing times noted on their webiste are just there to cover their butts. The VJ timelines are a much more accurate depiction of what petitions they are currently processing.
