If Moore stood on the coast and blew in the opposite direction I'm sure Gustav would dissipate.

Just talked to one of my sisters. She said mandatory evacuation for all coastal parishes and anyone remaining who is out after curfew will be arrested and sent to Angola!! (the state pen, not the country).

I'm not sure where Chad is, Plaquemines maybe? I hope all is well....

I think Chad is in Ascension Parish - near me in EBR Parish. We're safer than the coastal areas, but we're gonna get hit w/ a doozy of rain, wind, & power loss. Katrina wasn't as bad for EBR as it was for NOLA, but I think Gustav might outdo Katrina here in BR.

Maybe Michael Moore could eat a few square miles of Louisiana right before the hurricane comes so he can work up a fart that would blow Gustav back halfway across the Atlantic.

Lady, people aren't chocolates. Do you know what they are mostly? Bastards. ####### coated bastards with ####### filling. But I don't find them half as annoying as I find naive bobble-headed optimists who walk around vomiting sunshine.

Thanks for the kind words maggie and jundp. And yes I'm in Ascension, this will be my last night posting for a few days, I have to work 16 hours tomorrow and by the time I get home, I'm sure the power will be out.

Good luck! To all of you there. I asked one of my bff's what they were doing and he said "I hear the surf in Grand Isle will be good." Smart @ss :)

maybe that intake of air from the dnc is drawing the hurricane to us?

I'm heeding McCain's call and leaving politics out of this one. :D

I wish that freaking thing would head back out to sea.

Due to his concentrating on issues surrounding Hurricane Gustav, President Bush has announced that he will NOT be attending the RNC.

I'd say this proves that God is WITH the Republicans!
