:crying: So guys, here I am again….it has been 138 days since my NOA1 date (January 4th, 2006) and now I am just about giving up hope. Contacted the Congresswoman and the only answer I get is that they have launched an enquiry and are awaiting an answer from CSC.

I have been touched 6 times (03/16, 03/17, 03/18, 04/27, 05/17, 05/18) but nothing yet. I have contacted the CSC folks via email several times and the last email I got was an angry response stating that my case in undergoing security checks and I should not contact them for another 30 days.

Is there anyone else who has a NOA1 date around my time and hasn’t received his/her NOA2 yet?

I had an extremely hard time breaking this news to my Fiancé. Both of us are so scared now. We have been apart for seven years and can’t take it anymore. I am planning to go back to India if the visa is not here by the end of this year.

Please keep us in your minds. I hope I haven’t wasted your time but I had to vent somewhere and what better place to vent than VJ where we all are going through the same process.

Good luck to you all. Hope things are much smoother for you. I won’t want this situation on my worst enemies!

- Vishrit

Vishrit,

All I can say is wow... Hang in there. I can only imagine what you and your fiance are going through! It's been too long for you to have to wait. You know, going into this process I didn't quite realize how consuming it is. It takes a lot out of a person to just hand things over to some entity (and your future and your love for someone else are really BIG things to hand over!) and give up all control. You're definitely in my thoughts and prayers! I hope you hear something good soon!

I know it is hard. Very hard. You wait and wait ... give up hope .. find a little .. only for it to be crushed again. You will hear more. I wish that I could tell you when, but realistically I can't, especially now that everything seems to be backed up with IMBRA. Who knows what they are doing. All I can really say is do what you have to in order to get through each day and that my thoughts will be with you.

WoW since january huh?

That sucks i hope all turns out good for you soon.

Me and my fiancee are already talking about me moving to the philippines if she is unable to get her visa.

They might be able to make it hard for us to be together but they arent going to stop it from happening.

Its really hard to believe that they need to do so much security check's on a man and woman wanting to get married and live together as husband and wife and there is thousnads of illegals walking across the border every month with the only intent to make money and send to there familys in south america.

My fiancee thinks i wont be able to adjust to life there in the philippines ,she thinks i am too much of a city boy....lol

But she doesnt realize how much i am starting to hate my country and everything it stands for now.

We as legal residents of this country need to start paying better attention to the people we vote into office from now on and hold them accountable for the promises they make during there election campain's.

Thank you all for your heartfelt responses. It is people like you that make this harrowing wait a little more bearable.

Soon it is going to be day 139 and the wait will continue. I am definitely sure that this wait is going to make our married life stronger because we know what we had to go through to get there. It is not like we met, fell in love and got married in two months.

There is only one thing left.......HOPE!

Thanks once again.

Hope you all get to the end of your journeys at a fast pace!

Thankfully,

- Vishrit

Vishrit,

I feel for you. Sometimes, I think it would be better to gone to India for a little over 2 months, get married there, and take DCF route. I don't know if this security check thing will interfere that route as well. Besides we have jobs to do... who will give us 2 month leave.. life is so difficult.

I am also waiting to be with my love... and now this IMBRA thing has practically shut down K1 processing. Just to make you feel better.... you will not be affected by IMBRA.... that is nice! isn't it....

hang in there... it will be over...

I-751 process:

4/06/09: Mailed I-751 to VSC by Express mail

4/17/09: Check clearance.

4/30/09: Biometric appt. letter received (appt. on May 15th)

5/05/09: Walk-in biometric done

9/02/09: Approval Email (touch on USCUS site)

9/03/09: Approval letter received (decision date: 8/27/09)

9/09/09: Touch, but no change in status on USCIS site.

9/11/09: Green card rec'd.

Hang in there! It took me 4.5 months to get my case approved through the CSC, you can see in my timeline. All the touches are good I think. I got my approval notice in the mail 2 weeks before they changed the status online!

Good luck! :star:
