Yep, they're serious about it, too! Suggested evacuation started yesterday, mandatory evacs will start tomorrow. They've already sent buses in to evacuate those w/ no means to evacuate themselves. Curfew is a serious thing too. They will put your azz in jail for being out past curfew - they have room - the inmates have already been evacuated from the prisons. I think the governor is bound and determined not to let another "Katrina" happen.

I forgot about the prisons, lol. That should be some excitment for the long term prisoners!

Hey everyone!

I'm still crabby, but I'm also at work today - go away people! Why come to the library on a beautiful day like today!

I'm not a cat person cause I'm allergic...but I am a birdie person. I have an African Grey parrot who's a handful. She gets into mischief, says the "F" word (where does she get that from???? ), etc. But I'm also working on teaching her to say "a3tini boussa" When I tell her that she gives me kisses..now if she can just SAY it :D

Hope everyone stays safe from the hurricane! (F)

I love African Grays like Jihed, I am a bird lover also. Of course in my opinion Bird lovers are a special bred, only the best. Lol That is so awesome I only have one cockatiel left, my Quaker passed away and I will wait until my husband comes to get another bird, but yea I love parrots. They rock. I would love to see him talking and acting a fool, they are very smart.

You are right!! They are so smart that it just freaks me out sometimes. He brought a lot of videos on CD from his birds at home and I'm going to stop be lazy later this weekend and get them on youtube- they are smaller.. I don't know what they are called because he keep saying their names in Arabic and I'm not sure what it would be in English - However a lot of the birds he has at home are specific only to that region and he created a few new 'kinds' by crossing two birds... But most of the crosses seem to be infertile.. Although they are beautiful and they sing all day and night. It's such a nice sound!
