My husband and I went to our first interview in January. We found out that the examiner we went to for him was practicing without a license and it was void (it was that guy working over near the Mission in San Francisco) :(

We filed in july 05, got his residency card in march 06. Last week we had quite the falling out and he ended up leaving. He wants divorce, as do I...:( As hurt as I am for all this I still love him and dont want him deported. I said I would think about staying married for the sake of his citizenship, but we both are kinda just sick of all this.

If he got his card in March how long until he should recieve his citizenship? We passed our first interview with flying colors. (minus the exam issue).

Also, if its mutual how long will it take to divorce? If we divorce before he gets his citizenship, is he still allowed to stay?

We've been married 3 years now... I guess we are another statistic of failed marraiges before the 5 year mark :(
