what can you do in AP?

I am just wondering what good, if any, it is to call DOS to check the status of your visa?

I mean they will call my husband when they are finished, this is what they tell me.

I have only called DOS 3 times since receiving AP back in mid-May

I have gotten the help of my congressman, senator and attorney, all yielded the same responses.

Now it is just silent

day by day waiting to hear anything.

I dont know if it helps or if you even can bring more attention to your case to expediate things.

I THINK NOT

and when you call DOS what should you ask?

is there any other place you can call to inquire?

thank you

I tried calling DOS and they wouldn't help me at all. It took awhile just to get in touch with someone and then they were just very rude to me and said they couldn't help me and wouldn't even check on my husband's case saying it wasn't their job. So frustrating!

I'm don't have any real suggestions.. You might go and post this in some of the other forums (for the various visa types) and see if they have a better answer for you?

I am just so sorry that you are going through this and I really do hope that you get an answer ASAP!

I'm not sure if Tiffers is around (Jade) but she went through a similar AP experience through Jordan waiting and waiting and I think she made some phone calls but I'm not sure if it was the same experience as you - calling DOS and getting no help... Hmm? I will ask her if she doesn't read this and write back.

Again so sorry and all my prayers with you for this to be over (F)
