Hi,

My stolen expired green card has been stolen and I only have left my passport and the NOA.

My case is pending at the VTC but I will soon need to take a trip outside the USA.

I thought about applying for a replacement card but It seems strange to apply for a replacement of an expired card.

I am thinking going to my nearest field office but I don't know if they will be able to help me?

What do you think?

Thank you

JG

File a police report about the stolen card. Take a copy of the police report, a copy of your stolen card and your original NOA to your local office and ask to get your passport stamped so you can travel.

Your local office is the best place to start. They should be able to help you.

Timeline for Removing Conditions:

Timeline for AOS:

Green card received 120 days after application was delivered to USCIS

Just get a police report (you need some proof it was stolen and also to let them know that there is a card out there) and get a stamp at your local office... this is now your proof of residency, ability to work and travel!

Thanks everybody. Will do. I am trying to get an infopass to our brand new field office in Raleigh NC instead of having to drive all the way to Charlotte NC. No appointments are available so I will try everyday.

Thanks

Make sure the office in Raleigh is a district office and not an Application Support Centre, an ASC won't be able to help you.

At the Raleigh office, they require you to surrender your expired green card in order to get the stamp in your PP.

I don't have the green card anymore so that's why I need the stamp.

I talked to the person at the 1800 number and this is what she told me to do: bring my passport, the NOA and two pictures and I should be good to go.

I finally got an appointment (Next Monday) by logging in at 6:00am this morning on the website.

Yeah.
