Even if it were true, what relevance does that have politically, or any other way?

I am sure some people do base all their decisions on the relative 'hotness' of everyone they meet, but I will be darned if I am going to start doing that.

The relevance is that her hottness got her elected once, why not try it twice? We had stateswomen who were 10x the leader Palin was run before, yet they got nothing because their looks weren't Prom Queen enough...

If that's true - why isn't McCain running with Jenna Jameson or something...

When Rush et al. say things like this, I do think that it's just intended to be humorous. It doesn't appeal to my sense of humor - it's about as funny as a knock knock joke.

Like it or not, people don't always vote based on issues. Each citizen in this country with the right to vote can vote for whoever they want for whatever reason they want. I kind of look at it as paying taxes being admission into the voting booth. Just because they cast one vote for one person you don't like for a reason you don't agree with doesn't make them insane. They paid for their right to vote, so they can do with that vote however they please.

But I'll give you credit, at least you don't feel the desire to "beat some sense" into people who don't vote how you want them to....like some people on VJ

It's not like political voting doesn't have consequences and while the vote based on 'hotness' may not result in a politically bad choice, it's not a very mature way to rate a person's ability to implement policy.

A slightly off-topic nitpick: Plenty of people pay taxes but aren't allowed in the voting booth (LPR's for example) and vice-versa.

It's a strategic pick, no doubt, but Rush is still a dikwad.

It seems like all the strides made as far as womens rights/minority rights [or just general pride in the progress of "equality" in this country] a historic election that includes an African American and a woman are dimished; and which ever way you vote, there is no denying this is a great turning point in our history....brought down to "hey...she's a babe..."

Rush and the idiot " caller" both make me want to barf.
