Its wrong to assume that women will vote for a ticket with a woman just because there is a woman on it. Hillary's appeal wasn't because of her gender. I think women (and men!) really listened to what she had to say.

I'm looking forward to learning more about Palin. First impression is that the McCain Campaig assumed that Hillary's supporters will be swayed by the gender of VP pick. Also, can't help but think he wants Alaskan oil pretty badly.... If Palin supports it whats to stop the big push?

My mom's exact response when I told her about this was to first laugh out loud and proclaim "That was slick."

As much as I don't agree with McCain I do have to agree with her that it was a slick move.

Wow. We've been hearing the rumors here for a long time. I never would have thought this would happen.

Sarah is absolutely clueless and has gotten by with her looks and no real substance. She is going to get torn apart by Senator Biden. I watched her debate numerous times during her race for Governor and she had no idea what was going on.

This is the first year I'll be voting Republican. After watching Obama's speech last night and feeling like I was in church and seeing the hero worship from before like he's JC I'm a bit put off. At least McCain is a moderate republican. I agree with his foreign policy and his VP choice is a University of Idaho alumni plus a woman. I already know all about her from articles done on her at my University. She was a journalism and mass media major like me. That snags my vote. I don't even know Obama's running mate and I don't agree with some of his policy's.

I'm a little puzzled at how I can make this choice when I don't agree with McCain's policy on pro-life but I feel that McCain and Palin are an overall better match than their competitors.

How did I go from being a liberal Democrat to a moderate Republican in 10 years?
