Hi,

I just received an appointment notice for biometrics today, after filing both AOS and EAD at the same time.

At the top of the notice it says case type, followed by I-485 Application to register permanent resident or adjust status.

Does this mean that this appointment is just for the AOS and I'll have to go again for my EAD or does it include both?

The office I have to go to is 2 hours from me so it would suck if I have to go twice!!

Also, just curious, does anyone know why on the processing dates on the USCIS website some of the different types of visa applications are in green and others in yellow?

11/05/12 - NOA-1 received, notice date 10/31/2012, received and priority date 10/29/2012

11/09/12 - Biometrics notice received, biometrics appointment date 11/19/12

11/21/12 - In line for interview scheduling (letter received via USPS mail 12/17/12)

01/16/13 - N-400 interview/testing - APPROVED! Oath ceremony letter received late Jan. 2013

02/26/13 - OATH CEREMONY COMPLETED - NATURALIZED US CITIZEN!

Nope, just one saying I-485. I guess that answers my question???

Is it right that for AOS they take all finger prints? If so, it would make sense that they could just use those for the EAD too? Or would that be too sensible for them?!!! :wacko:

I only had one biometrics appointment and got my EAD two months later. My AOS status has been updated, but I haven't been called for second biometrics. That's all I can say.

I got our biometrics appointment letter today too. :dance:

But I'm only applying for AOS not EAD so I don't know but I wish you good luck! :yes:

April 4, 2007: Infopass & it doesn't help at all!!!
April 18, 2007 :Contacting our Congressman.
May 18, 2007 : E-mail rcvd, Welcome Notice Sent! Finally!!!
April 22, 2007 : E-mail rcvd, GC has been ordered
April 24, 2007 : Welcome Notice Rvcd. Yeeehaaa!!!!
June 1, 2007: GC arrived! Yippy! USCIS Free for 2 years!
2008: Moved to China
2009: Conditional GC Expired and Husband has been having affairs since 2008 in China. Can't file for ROC since he got laid off. He came to Jakarta to live with me and my parents. He got a new job. Life resume to normal or so I thought.
March 2010: Officially separated after yet more affairs exposed just a day after my birthday!

February 2011: Officially divorced.
June 18, 2011: He married the girl he had the last affair with.

August 2014: I am engaged with my real soulmate. Not an American.
