well, I know VSC sucks, but realistically speaking, there were 16 approvals for the month of August.

Thats average. I think because they primarily came out in 1 bunch, we all got our expectations up.

Lets not forget that there were most likely a lot more approvals but not every K-3 at VSC is here on VJ.

With that being said, lets see what happens next week........

Not much else we can do....but wait........and wait........and wait.........and wait some more.

Although this relates to IMBRA, it shows the number of K visas they deal with.

(I'm going for the IR-1 and blowing off the K-3. Even if it takes an extra couple months, it's worth it to not have to deal with USCIS again)

"Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, the wretched refuse of your teeming shore. Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me, I lift my lamp beside the golden door!"

Note:

Please fill out I-130, wait 6 months for approval, then 3 more months for an interview. (Unless of course we've bombed your country into the stone age, then you qualify for expedited processing.)

Welcome to the USA!!!

Ive notice at least since June that the dates posted for VSC and CSC are always the same, I dont think you should put much stock in what they post on the site, it always seems to be late being posted and if you read what people are posting on this site, those dates posted are not correct.

I agree. The only problem is that they hide behind those dates. If you call them, or have your congressman call them, they just say, "we're within our processing times." So there is no recourse unless they are outside of those times. They should post processing times of August 1, 1948. That way they could just play a recording when you call saying "don't bother us, we are within the posted processing times"

Exactly my concern...if your case is outside those times your congressman will call and inquire for you and maybe get somewhere. It is at least nice to be able to feel like you can do SOMETHING other than wait....

How do you do about getting the congress man to call. what is the process.

You can find your local congressman/woman here and contact them by phone. That's all that I did.

You can also contact one or both of your state senator's office in a similar way.

When did you contact your congressperson and have you heard anything yet? Im seriously thinking about sending this letter I already have typed up. What harm would it do right? They will probably just say "the case is not outside the normal processing times" bla frick'n bla!

The processing times are a joke but its like a trainwreck that I cant help looking at! heh

Timeline: 13 month long journey from filing to visa in hand

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive, and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Thanks!

Why are processing dates going backwards? Because it's the government. It's your tax dollars at work folks... They don't have to compete for business, if they want more money, they just take it from us or ask for more. It's inefficient, slow, and has no motivation to improve. I'm pretty pissed that the processing dates for the k-1 went from January 17 to January 2nd. If USCIS was a business, it would have gone under by now. But it's basically a government owned monopoly.

There isn't much your congressman/senator can do unless you either 1) qualify for an expedite or 2) your case is outside the processing times. If either of these applies to you, they are more than willing to put in a call and see what happens, otherwise you just wait with everyone else :(

I agree with Birch. With August being the most 'vacationed' month of the year, I am surprised that we saw whatever activity that we saw in this month. I am referring to all the transfers and whatever x number of approvals. This obviously means that Vermont is working and that too, probably, very hard.

I have hope for an approval within a month.

There are still many, many January , Feburary filers left waiting at VSC. But who knows, VSC does things their own way, no order of processing. No rhyme, or reason. Its a real cluster **** there.

Good Luck

if you go by the I-129f noa1's there arent that many.

If you go to she speadsheet and compare the I-130's and I-129's. you can see the I-129'f are pretty congruent

in receiving the NOA2...since we're referring to K-3's. If you use the I-130 noa1 tab, they-re all over the place.

http://spreadsheets.google.com/pub?key=p-9...Rqfdg&gid=3

Maybe its just my way of looking at things but if VSC wasnt using the I-129f NOA1 date, why'd they even bother giving one? I dont know, the numbers and the charts show....

Thanks for the link, you know, good people like all of us on VJ ,work, pay our taxes, leads criminal free lives, do what we are suppose to do, and still sometimes I feel like a child being punished waiting for Big Daddy VSC to do something, the waiting feels like a punishment. Maybe Im in witch mode today, but its how I feel. Thank you again for the link. Think I will go outside and fly on broom stick for a while.
